Waqar was very unlucky not to have gotten Atherton out lbw in this innings with his famous inswinger. The umpiring was very good on the whole in this series. Mushtaq Ahmed deserved the man of the match and man of the series honors. Saeed Anwar, Ijaz Ahmed, Inzamam ul-Haq and Salim Malik were the batting heros. Alec Stewart batted fabulously for England.
Thank you uploading, the 1996 pakistan vs England series. It is a treat to watch. The english team openers put up a fight but mustaq spin and the pakistani pace attack bamboozled the middle and tail. As Sir JEffery Boycott gave credit to the team and they played for one another . Bitter English captain remarks, instead blaming the pitch, AND HOWIT PLAYED.
Certainly a few of those second innings wickets came off clear no balls, thankfully we use technology for that now, but Pakistan outclassed us in this series and were deserved winners. What a side they had back then, they had the talent to have seriously challenged Australia to be world number 1 but were inconsistent and blew hot and cold.
