As a Belgian, it is a pleasure to see the England national team (begin) to rise up to their former glory. I say 'begin' only because the team I remember as a kid (Lampard, Gerrard, Owen, Scholes, ...) set the bar pretty high. The game against us on thursday could have been an absolutely brilliant match, if the stakes were higher. Having both bagged the 6 points already, I fear both teams are not going to be playing their best squad. If we met in the first group stage match, it would have been a Premier League all-star battle!
