Englands swealters through record heatwave 

I thought that July 2009 was the wettest on record along with 2007 and 1828.

2009 wasn't a record breaker, although some days were very hot. The days five months apart are 2 Feb and 2 July 2009 (I think), I remember this clearly because my grand-daughter was born in a snowstorm on 1 February 2009. And yes, my records show that we got a huge thunderstorm on 3 July 2009.

This wasn't a record heatwave... August 2003 reached 39 degrees, with 10 consecutive above 30. 1976 sore temps above 32 in London for 15 consecutive days... Just saying, this kinda warm spell is nowhere near a record if I'm honest! LOL
