How much yarn did you end up using for the main body color (in her case blue)? I have 311 yds/ 6 oz of a beautiful red yarn on hand and I'm hoping I have enough to not have to run to the store💖

@@ohkay235 I usually use a 7oz ball. Or a 16 oz ball. I’ve made 5 red ones from the 16 oz, and haven’t even used half of it. I’ll see if I have any unstuffed bodies I can weigh. So unstuffed just the body is 1.05 oz, Stuffed with arms, legs, ears, and small horns is 3.15 oz. You should easily get more than one from 6oz, assuming your using #4 medium yarn, and a 4.25 hook. :)

I’ve been looking for free tutorials on a Baphomet and ran into none in English, I would purchase one but it’s like…Really? Sometimes I can’t do a written pattern without some visual especially for complicated things but this was so helpful, I love how you show us step by step, different variations, etc. Again, thank you for this more than one variation goat plush, I will be making so many of these 😅

Glad you like it! 🥰 if your going to be making a lot, I’ve redone that pattern as a no sew, but haven’t gotten around to the goat version. If you follow the sitting reindeer video, then add the baphomet ears, tail, and horns. There will be a lot less sewing, and so much quicker. Hi Rhonda, I’m a knitter not really a crocheter but my son found a pic of a baphomet on line, sent me the pic and said, make me this mom, I just asked him what it was. After looking on line for a while I came across ur tutorial and I must say, ur voice is so welcoming and soothing, so I decided to try this, so far so good but can’t tell ya how many times I cursed at myself for making mistakes but all in all, I’m having fun making it for my sons birthday next Saturday. Oh yay!! I’m so happy for this comment. I struggle with weather I should add the row stitches into the videos I make. I personally like it that way. But I had a pattern copied and reposted as their own. So I decided, if your going to copy my pattern, then your gonna have to watch the whole video to get it. Lol. So glad you enjoyed it ❤️

The way I avoid those holes at row 17 is to do yarn under and execute my decreases by combining front loop only and then back loop only for a single dec. Looks really nice

I’m hoping to remake this more no sew. If your on the creative side I have a no sew base now and you could make all the parts, flip over to that. Then come back for face and horn placement. Ack that sounds like a lot of work just thinking about it, lol. But it does eliminate sewing the arms and legs. 😉

Oh you did good, my 3 in ones are the hardest cause I wasn’t doing the no sew arms and legs yet. Even I usually let the parts sit for a few days till I feel like sewing them on, lol. I'm trying to make the Baphomet one but im confused at the part with making horn and it tells me to do 2 extra rows of 5 sc. I have no clue what it mean or what to do and looking it up didn't help either, if someone can please tell me what that mean so i can understand better how to do this it would be very appreciated

When you get to the end of the horn in the video, it’s 5 more rows of 12sc. It’s just a repeat of the last row shown until you are happy with the length. Hope that helps.😊

Im currentlt making the baphomet one and ive followed the horns where you said to make extra rows but the horns r still so small unless its due to the suze of my yarn

If it’s the same weight yarn as the rest it should still be proportionate. Are you doing one increase row, one repeat row till you reach 12 sc. and then after that at least 6 rows of 12? You’ll have about 23 rows. (Also stuffing them makes them a bit bigger) If they are still too small you can also do two repeat rows instead of one for length. Let me know if that helps you out at all 😊

Hi Tanya, they are the same horns, just a couple extra rows, and just bend by hand to look curved. (No special stitches to curve) you could also put a wire inside as you stuff them to make them bend easier.

For these ones, I used red heart in the 10ounce ball. I’ve later learned the squeaking is more from the temperature of the hook, super hot or really cold, and running through your hair stops it from squeaking. 😊

Hi Brenda, row 30 is decreases. I’m not sure where you are reading the increases. But I definitely do make the odd mistake , so whatever makes the most sense or you see me doing, is what you want to follow 😊

can you tell me what type/weight of yarn you used, rough yardage and hook size? I cant tell from the video

I used #4 medium red heart, and a 4.25mm hook. I’m not sure about the yardage, but a stuffed on weights just over 3ounces. So you should easily be able to make one with 2oz of yarn, which for my skeins would be about 100 yds.

When your yarn squeaks, just run your hook through your hair so it can catch the oils, then continue crocheting! It'll have that glide again

I can’t get past the very first circle. I’ve re-tryd 3 times and after the 2nd-3rd row it always curves inwards

Hi Aubrey, are you on my fb page so you can send me a message with photos? I just had a look at the first three rows, and forgot that since this is one of my first few videos, I don’t have the pattern at top. There is so many things that could be going wrong since I didn’t explain as good then. Row1: you can start any way your used to. Just make sure that there’s 6sc in the first row Row 2: The second row is 6inc for a total of 12 stitches Row 3: 1sc, 1increase. Hi, I have the same problem with a lot of my projects. It seems to be an issue with tension, but I'm not sure if it's too much or just uneven. Once the body is done and stuffed it usually isn't very noticeable.

How many rows did you end up doing for the baphomet horns?

I think I did an extra 4 rows of 12sc. But you can do as many as you want, if you want them longer, or add wire to make them curl more.

For the horns you just add extra rows at top middle or bottom. In the picture it’s the same goat horns, I’ve just bent them (or you can use wire)

Try using a hook a few smaller sizes, and even smaller yarn. That should work. 😊

No, I didn’t know how yet on these ones. But you can follow the reindeer one exactly, skip the little nose and do the baphomet horns. I’ve actually redone this as a no sew pattern, but haven’t gotten around to videoing it yet. I made the reindeer from the new baphomet pattern. I’m hoping to do it after Easter and st Patrick’s day. I've done this 8 times and Everytime I get to row 7/8 I have more than 42 stitches and I have followed this step by step. What am I doing wrong 😭

I just watched row 7 (5sc, 1inc) is the repeat for that row. It’s been so long since I made this I didn’t realize how bad it is compared to what I’m doing now. When I say 6and 7 are you doing an increase there? And do you have 36 in the previous row? That’s about the only thing I can think of with out seeing what’s happening. If you still can’t get it, please ask me again. I’ll do what I can to help you figure it out 👍😊

For this I used a 4.25 mm hook and #4 yarn. I’ve seein it made in the plush yarn many time and it worked out great. When I do plush yarn I usually use a #6 yarn with a 5.5mm hook. 🥰

Hi Gemma, it’s just curved by hand, no special stitches. If you want the curves to be more permanent, you’ll need to put wire inside. If you do, make sure to bend both ends over so they aren’t sharp or poke through. 😊

Sometimes even though you use the same hook and a #4 yarn. The yarn is not always the same thickness. I have quite a few that are the same brand and are clearly thicker than others. Also how much you stuff makes a bit of a difference as well. This was red heard yarn and does tend to be on the thicker side. Hope that helps 😊

I have no idea why but my body is ALWAYS too small for head- I did everything right with pattern and it was my third attempt i'm done lmao

Oh no. Hmmm…. The body is a bit smaller than the head. But if your noticing a huge difference that’s not proportional. Is it possible your over stuffing the head, and under stuffing the body. Sometimes it’s tricky to close the bottom with lots of stuffing, so it’s easy to use less and not realize it. That’s the only thing I can think of, since it’s your third try. 😊

Oh I definitely feel you on the black. I just recently did a Jack Skellington after the sun went down. lots of color regret, lol. But the black horns do look nice on the baphomet. 🙂
