@@Alex-zi1nb Yeah, especially the rappers (who I forgot to mention....I hope Buvna will forgive me xD) have a previous "beef" with the students so that's bound to garner some laughs! It need not be a restaurant...it could be an outside space with people from restaurants that are promoting...e.g. that owner who mixed Buvna's drinks. Okay it might possibly be difficult but if anyone can do it it's these guys and anything they give us towards that would be really fun!

I read this as "Cab drivers, footballers, rappers, pirates..." lol but yes, that would be so fun if they could bring some of the groups together! Esp the rappers and the students, they were so fun

That’s also the magic of Korean food. It caters to many different palates ✨ Even my family and friend who are not so open and accepting of different cultures are weak to Korean food. Tempt them with a good Korean restaurant and even the most socially awkward friend of mine would be willing to go out 😤✨

@@rin__ I dont think its just the food. Regardless of how good the food may be you have to convince people to try it first. Even if the food is good someone that psychs themselves out about the food can still hate it even if its good. The enthusiasm of the people involved in this channel is infectious. They create an atmosphere that is light and fun and doesnt make trying something new a daunting experience. I think a lot of 'trying *blank* food' videos are about getting a negative reaction. Korean Englishman aims for a positive reaction and creates and environment to allow that to happen.

Just saying though, I hope you didn't conclude my comment as a statement disregarding the team's hardwork because that's not what I meant 🤣 What I meant was that Korean food itself may also be a contributing factor to getting a picky eater's attention and fondness of its food. I have convinced my friends to try other food from other countries as well and they did. But none of them asked for it anymore because they weren't a fan of its tastes. I didn't put much hardwork and a welcoming atmosphere as good as the KE team do when introducing them to Korean food, but they instantly loved it and kept asking for more. I do agree that Josh, Ollie, and the team did well to bring people to like Korean food. But I think we shouldn't forget that the food itself, the culture, the origin are also the reason why all this is happening 💞

Sometimes a picky eater is just someone whose taste doesn't fit the cooking of where he lives, because some foods are cooked in a certain way that makes it unappetizing to said person but cooked in another way (as in a different culture) would make it tasty.

It's a little easier now since they do have more fame, but they go through candidates. You should watch one of his first videos in like 2013 or something like that when he was going around London interviewing people about kimchi. So many rude people and cussing at Josh. It was horrible.

한국어 그대로 단어를 알려주는게 맞다는 의견에는 동의하고 저도 항상 한국어로 알려주는데요. 다만 내가 좋아하는 맛과 문화의 즐거움을 같이 누리는 측면으로 보셔야지. 국가가 나오고 국가의 대리인처럼 댓글 다시면 외국인들이 보면 부담스럽지 않을까요. 애초에 국가를 넘어섰기 때문에 이렇게 외국인들 댓글이 계속 많아지고 있는데 말이죠.

@진로 먼저 막걸리는 막 걸려서 먹는 술이라는 뜻으로 저렴하게 먹는 술입니다. 동네 막걸리집에서 바가지에 받아오면 옹기종기 모여서 그릇으로 막 떠먹었던 게 전통이거든요. 지금처럼 포장 되어서 격차리고 먹는 술과는 거리가 멀었고요. 사기니 놋그릇이니 떠먹는 그릇이 따로 있었던게 아니라 막그릇에 먹었고요. 막그릇이라는 게 따로 있는게 아니라 간단히 말하면 손에 집히는대로 아무 그릇이나 쓴다는 의미에요. 밥그릇으로도 떠먹고 대접으로 떠먹기도 하고 컵으로 떠먹기도 하는 겁니다. 다용도로 쓸 수 있는 저렴한 그릇이 손에 잡히는 겁니다. 그렇게 싸게 돌려쓰던 그릇에 정착을 한 게 바로 저 양은 그릇이에요. 그럼 그릇모양이 왜 저럴까요? 이미 말씀드렸지만 부어서 먹는 술이 아니라 떠먹는 술이다 보니 술에 손을 담그지 않도록 깊이가 얕고 손잡이가 저런 거에요. 괜히 저런 그릇에 정착하는게 아니에요. 다 이유가 있는 겁니다. 이런 게 전통이 만들어지는 방식입니다. 막걸이가 어떤 술인지 모르시니 이런 댓글을 다신 겁니다.

Agree, i got a whole pan of Jimdak really really nice Jimdak near a front of Ewha Womans University. 2 set of Oyster&Pork belly Bossam, Fresh Raw pig liver and hoard varieties of raw seafood kimchi at BBQ place around Hongdae. It's like roller-coaster experience by ajumma who's always laugh and refill those side dish like nonstop until i rise my whiteflag. One of the great memories as heavy eater, Korea can bear my hunger with wide open hugs.👍😆😋
