I've always thought Louis contributions to the success of ELO have not been fully recognised.....and wondered if he should have had co writing credits.....
I totally agree with you, without Lou's orchestral compositions and arrangements E.L.O. would never have had the huge success that they had in the 1970''s. Lou's input helped to turn E.L.O. from a cult band playing small venues like theatres and universities into one of the highest grossing bands of the late 1970's filling huge sports stadiums and arenas to capacity. R.I.P. Louis Clark.
"Moment of Truth Overture" is another great orchestral piece from the pen of Mr Clark, it's proof that Lou could compose excellent orchestrations without Jeff Lynne's assistance.

Excellent production ! I am saddened by the lack of available 'accurate' Overture recordings since the ELO release, even by ELO themselves! Eldorado Overture was, to me, the definitive standard which made the Eldorado album. The elimination of verses of the strings and french horns was a VERY disappointing moment for me. SO glad to hear this rendition. KUDOS to all who participated here. TxMarko in Texas, USA.

He was only 3rd arranger after Jeff and Richard. Jeff was ELO. Roy wood helped start it but couldn't match Jeff's creativity and ran off to cabaret oblivion soon after🤷
Louis Clarke pokazał kunszt muzyki rockowej z symfoniczną ,a aranżacja utworu Eldorado uwerture to klasyka muzyki symfonicznej z rockową .Jeff Lynne miał bardzo dobrego multiinstrumentalistę jakim był Louis Clarke.
Just a pity that they couldn't do the whole Eldorado album here,would have loved to have heard Poor Boy (The Greenwood) or even Laredo Tornado performed by this orchestra.
