@@gardenerscottageblakeney1316 I was trying to ask whether there was a climbing rose variant of Graham Thomas. Apparently, this is more like a shrub with a climbing habit if there is something for it to grab onto.
Yes I think it is really a large shrub as you say that can be trained against a wall or on a small obelisk . Not sure there is a specific climbing variant and it doesn’t climb very high
No we just cut back the areas affected we don’t use sprays as we try to garden with nature as much as possible . Occasionally we resort to spraying ground elder but that’s it
No we have a large garden so unfortunately we are not that on top of it but once we see any extensive damage we cut back . We’ve just given a climbing rose Zepherine Drouhin a radical prune almost to the ground as it was badly effected by black spot and it’s really reinvigorated it
