Hi my Auntie recommended I watch your videos. You are very informative about all your plants which I love. I really appreciate your honesty over plants that aren't doing well or look messy etc... Lots of people on social media only show their successes, but I think you can learn just as much if not more from other people's mistakes or plants that have died. You make me laugh as well 😁 which is great. Thanks for doing your videos. Take care Natalie
Дякую Вам, пане Даррен, за можливість милуватися Вашим чарівним садом! ❤️ Ваші квіти неймовірно гарні і казкові! Я обожнюю троянди, вони відволікають від сумних думок і дарують надію, що все буде добре! 🌹
Deine Video hat mir sehr gut 👍🏽 gefallen. . Man kann sehr viel Informationen bekommen, aber leider ich verstehe nicht Englisch..Trotzdem habe ich vieles schon gewust. Ich warte auf ein andres Video. Ich hoffe das du uns Zeigen wirst. Danke Dir Blondi.
Nice video. Be careful of those stakes. Maybe tie a strip of cloth on the top to remind you that it’s there. I like your bday rose. The Florentina is stunning.
fabulous video. I am going to try an organic spray for black spot this year as it completely defoliated some of my roses last year. It is made with bicarb of soda and seaweed. Fingers crossed oit helps my beautiful roses :-) I wish Lady of Shallot was still available. I think it is such a gorgeous rose. I was debating between Roald Dahl, and Charles Darwin so after your comments I've settled on Charles Darwin x
Hi Darren, try using terracotta saucers under your tomato pots, they will prevent the soil from scattering about. Thanks for the garden tour, loves it!🍀
Another lovely video which I just watched and just want to add a little something. The wetness from the terra-cotta pots will still seep through to the cement slabs. Me thinks terracotta-colored plastic saucers may work better? Not as pretty though. Greetings from the U.S. I love your garden and how you narrate about all your plants. Thank you! Inspired by you and your garden, I ordered Florentina. She will arrive tomorrow ….. “As Good as it Gets” is a most beautiful rose. I had not heard of it before. Happy Gardening!
Hi. I always put little plates under the pots. They retain the water that leaks under so you don't need to water the tomatoes too often and they keep the dirt away from your pavement.
As Good As It Gets lives up to it's name. I get those caterpillars too that eat the young leaves. I just pick them off when I see them. I use no insecticides for fear of hurting predators and pollinators.
Stunning! Thank you for the tour I was sniffing up with you all the way round haha I hope your eye is okay? try an upturned small plant pot on the top of any tall canes it might help. Love the garden tours stay well, looking forward to seeing how you cloud prune I've inherited some overgrown box shrubs at my new place and I have no clue how to go about topiary.
Love touring your garden as usual! Thanks for putting up great content! There seems to be a filter on your videos. Would love to see the roses without a filter on 😍
This was beautiful! Thank you for sharing! Really gives me inspiration for mine!! I decided to expand this year hahaha it’s a mess atm but I’m sure by next spring it’ll look bette
If you are fortunate enough to have a yard, grow food, especially now with everyone in your country complaining about costs & hardships. It will only get worse. I have over 300 mostly large potted plants of every type incl. cuttings & tubers frm my 7 garden beds...from neighbours too. I put them into 6 of the largest kiddie pools which I can fit in the large trunk of my 40 yr old Mercedes sedan. Saves well water for in the house & rain barrel water for flushing toiled or washing footwear, work clothes, car, tools etc. If the rain is too much, just lift out some pots, bale out water w. all the good nutrients in it for gardens when you get a dry spell. The rest, they sit inside those big plastic domes that come on party trays, with the thicker black plastic tray beneath. A tidy look, free to replace when cracked yrs later. Some are small enough to go into $ store (you have Pound Stores) clear salad bowls....some are in trays early in spring so they sit in aluminum roasting dishes that I have done a huge lasagna or roasted veg or beef rice in, then washed out when I bring it home from a pot luck. I Never leave things for the bin that you have paid for, reuse in useful storage ways. Jealous of your lovely roses.
I don't know if it works for all pests, but if you know anyone who smokes, ask them to throw their butts in a container of water and spray the nicotine water on your plants. I have used in the past with great success. it does not hurt the plants at all, and is apparently not harmful to beneficial insects - it just detracts the ones who like to eat leaves.
My curent rental house is swarm with thrips, whitefly, mealybugs and aphids. My roses also begin to show signs of canker. Which should i treat first. The insects or the canker?
you will have to remove the infected canker section of the plant. make sure you sterilise your shears after cutting to make sure you don't spread it. you can deal with the insects at the same time, as that is just a topical spray of whatever type you choose to use.
I could not quite hear the name of the strong perfumed rose before Gertrude and after Munstead Wood. ? Can you repeat please. I have Gertrude and would like another to ' smell'.
