TheZeldaDragon was a good day I just got to go get my kids to go get my car and then go get my kids to go get my kids and then go get a job job and then go get a job job and then go get a job job and then go get a job job and then go
@Root 66 The video was not about language, but about Christmas traditions. And these are very German all over the world (Christmas trees, Christmas ornaments, 24th/25th as the main gift giving day (at least in German/English-speaking countries), Christmas carols like Silent Night or Oh Christmas Tree ...). By the way. Because of the origin of these products, I would use the term Christmas ornaments and not christmas baubles. And in order to avoid any discussion at all, one could speak of the subcategories such as balls, bells, cones and whatever else someone wants to hang on the tree ;D
Gave my husband a lump of coal for one of his gifts as a joke and he didnt get it. Apparently in Guatemala they dont celebrate that tradition...it was awkward to say the lease.
@@lollytaylor7035 you're right, they teach us nothing except bullshit indoctrination, twisted revisionist history, and nothing about other countries or cultures. The textbook companies for schools are run by private interests.
Its merry Christmas we dont give Santa whiskey...we don't hang stocking in the bed room we don't mash everything into one big dish...shows how diffrent country do things
It used to be stocking on fire place, then it moved to the shelf because we didn’t have a fireplace in our house, instead we give him mince pies instead of cookies, and leave a carrot for the reindeer
My man of 10 years just left me and im depressed everyday. Watching your videos really picks me up. I'm so glad to have them to watch and be able to get joy and happiness from them
Guys, Can you please do more of this videos? My students of english find them funny, and at the same time I use them to teach the differences between American and British English
Im from Northern Ireland, I'm British and my family would always say Santa live in lapland. Wouldn't say father Christmas a whole lot. Happy Christmas for sure! Mom would always put the queens speech on and yessss Christmas #1!.....also the Christmas telly guide. Miss all that! Oh well. We have made many new American traditions now!
Girl: "where watching home alone" and on the last day of school befor winter break my class watched home alone and the class across us was watching home alone and the class downstairs was watching home alone o-o
I usually thought that puting an angel on a tree was a catholic tradition since my family is catholic and that is what we do. Also, I once went to a friend's house for christmas one time and they had a star on theirs. As for the pajamas, my great aunt has had her grandchildren (not including me, my siblings and a few of my cousins because we were too old) do them everytime we go to her house for christmas.
Just bought your book to read and can’t wait (this is huge only because I normally only read true crime gorey i know lol) I have been watching your channel for a couple months now and love it keep up the great work and never stop smiling and thank you for making me laugh on the regular 🥰
In the UK we do also say North Pole. Santa and merry Christmas despite having other words too. We also do wear matching pjs. Maybe because we’ve become more Americanised because of movies but it’s definitely still a thing now lol
I'm English and I always say Merry Christmas but this is still funny XD I also say North Pole and didn't know what bubble and squeak was. The pudding was sad, now it's a watery ruin.
