Great review, I really like that bike. I actually wish Rad Power and some of these other large e-bike companies would offer a 20" wheeled 250w option such as this Engwe, especially with the big battery. I like the lighter weight and affordability. A perfect bike for those who don't need more power/speed! I would buy that Engwe in a heartbeat if I wasn't already 'buried in bikes'!
I would be interested in a range test. This bike intrigues me because of its large battery. I’m older and not interested in speed but I want power assist going up a hill. Great review and I enjoy your wide review of different bikes. Neat to see your videos when your son assists you - shows how family oriented your channel is.
The company is terrible and be scamming people I had to start a whole investigation with my credit card company took me like 4 months to get my money back be careful with this company
I got this bike delivered to me here in Ireland from their Polish warehouse. When I received it, my box was also pretty bashed up. The cheap bell was snapped and my derailleur guard was broken. I have since replaced both. Other than that, everything else was ok. Two other faults with the bike are the lack of mud guards/fenders and the location for inserting the key is a bit fiddly because there is wires running directly beside it, underneath the cross bar. Great review by the way. 🙂👍
@@nicopage8148, hi. I get 35 km/h approx. Which is around 21 miles/h. In Europe we are limited to a 250 watt motor unfortunately. Anything over that is illegal to have on the road. However, I think there is ways around getting more speed out of your 250 watt motor, but I would not recommend it, due to potential motor l, battery damage and over heating issues etc.
@@gingerphil, range is actually pretty decent. I commute to and from work everyday on it, with level assist 5, and I get approx 35 miles or so on a full charge. You would obviously get more milage at assist levels 4 and below. I am happy enough with the milage anyway. Decent enough bike and have had no issues with it since purchasing it.
It's great there are guys testing them out before potential customers buy them. They should hire guys that test to come to the factory before they go into production to point out their weaknesses. I guess since they're made overseas it's a moot point.
Omg the battery ratles 😯😯😯. I have the first version of the Lectric XP and I've been hearing that same sound. I've been trying to figure out what is making that sound, its been driving me insane for the past year. Thank you!! Gonna see if i can fix it now.
great review.. and what do you think about EP pro 2? I am confused between buying this one and the Ep pro 2 model. I wanna use it for food delivery Job though
Hello Jeremiah. I live in Netherlands ..In your opinion for plan countrys like here and normal roads.. How do you prefer. This Engwe C20 Pro, Fildo D11 or Himo Z40 Max? I know this is all bikes 250W and they all have similar purchase values around 900eur. But i see your review Engwe EP2 750W. And the price is around that as well. Do you think is a big difference for the others? Thank you for your reviews.
I just found your channel and I really liked it. I also would like to see a range test for C20 pro because the claimed distance seems like the most important spec for this bike. So if you can make a range test for C20 pro, I would be really glad. Thanks for the video and have a nice days :)
That sounds like a nice long range battery. Would you mind make another review maybe after you have ridden it for more miles if you think it is valuable to make a video for?
Здравствуйте.Спасибо большое за обзор данного байка,расказали почти все до мелочей.Мне захотелось его приобрести,еще бы хотелость узнать дальность хода на одном заряде.Еще раз спасибо.
Very interested in this bike or the xp 2.0 this bike is a great deal but how is the customer service and can your wife ride it. And how tall is she ..sorry so many questions
Hello jeremiah I hesitate between the engwe c20 pro and the ep 2 pro which bike do you advise me between the 2 in terms of autonomy and solidity of ease of repair I'm sorry if my English is not perfect I'm french and the fork of ep 2 pro has a problem because I was often told that
Jeremiah, do you feel any difference on how these e bikes operate if they're 36 or 48 Volts? Do you feel the 48 V have more get up and go, better on hills, etc?
@@JeremiahMcintosh yeah we did too slow 🐌 but beautiful ebike looking like that they should be fast like the scooters keep up the good work 👏 🙌 🇨🇦🇬🇧🏴🇪🇺🇺🇸💯
Great review. At last someone who points out the warts and all. Yet from an engineer,s perspective. this bike is designed to fail.. The normal diagonals have been abandoned and the stress points left to the strength of the weld. "What do you expect for the money" ? you might well ask.
I haven’t done a full range test on either of them yet but this one should go a lot further. Lectric does have more power but this bike has a 7 speed shifter which helps up hills so it’s not too bad even though it’s less power. Lectric definitely has a nicer build quality and a stand underneath to sit on when it’s folded. Did you see my lectric light review? I would just watch both of them and that should help you decide which one would be better for you.
I went to another channel review. Electric wheeler channels he did show full true battery range engwe c20. Wow! That’s so lied! They said 95 miles range! Battery dead till 35 miles! I knew it 36v short range instead 48v or 52v more longer. I knew it it’s suck c20 ebike.
Imo it is almost 1 to 1 with the Lectric (1000) and the Heybike Cityscape (850) for a super bang for your buck deal on an ebike. I do think the Lectric is bit better overall though.
I do. It weighs less and with the right coupons it's also cheaper. The question now is, how is warranty and customer service. Also, the fit and finish is not good compared to Lectric. So it would have to be a lot cheaper.
Not to mention living in the uk and being limited to 250w… yea I could probs get away with a 750w Maybeee… but if I get caught, I get 6 points on my license and loose my car and my job so my life would turn to ashes … so that’s my reason lol
The lectric XP light definitely has more power but this has gears that will help you get up hills easier and a bigger battery. It really all depends what you’re looking for in a bike but I do like the build quality of the Lectric better than this. Hope it helps….thanks.
I just updated the description with a link to the seat post that I recommend you will also need a 27. 2 to 33.9 shim to use with the post for the EP2 pro. Please let me know if you have any other questions
My pedal assist 1 is 9 mph. I'd rather 1 would be 6 mph. I think a lot of these bike designers are just that, no real research done just make a bike and sell it.
wow, after one year Engwe still didn't fix the problem with the stand lacking. They keep selling this bike without a stand. Also, the battery ratling didn't fix neither. Bad chinese quality control.
they could make it stepthrough to lower the center of gravity. That's the problem with chinese bikes. The designs and ergonomics are far behind from the western brands.
