Militaristics guess nobody needs them? Lol, i was always in the why not crowd which is why i insisted on buying barrels that had the holes for pinning or if that wasnt an option atleast the barrel would be dimpled. I really don't care what company says..set screws will always come loose eventually especially if the barrel isn't dimpled.
@@meh9682 a simple dimple wont hurt anything. your gas block should be a press fit to ensure the best gas seal. same with your gas tube to gas block fit. any gaps will allow gas to escape and can effect shot 2 shot consistency more than a dimple. also a dimple is far less intrusive than a pin job with most blocks not having proper material for the job to be done just touching the barrel and not so far into it. the rabbit hole is pretty deep, don't lose sleep over a dimple.
