Yea I prefer agi because I feel it synergies well with windfurry and if you crit consistently enough you’ll have good uptime on the 10% damage increase from talents. 😊

Naw always windfurry or you can go for a quick offhand with flame tongue for push backs on spell casting. But then you want your main hand weapon to hit with WF over the off one. but if you want to slow people then you’re better off using a rank 1 frost shock

Yes and no. I think there's some debate about this when it comes to PVP but sticking to the raid hit cap I believe is said to sim the best in raids, I've never simmed though. I've been playing TBC Enhance for over a year, and raid a few times a week and pvp regularly, though relatively new to arenas. I'll give a detailed answer for anyone interested, though more specific information and examples can be found elsewhere online. The answer is yes and no because there are considerations. In TBC Shamans only have 1 melee instant attack (melee ability): Stormstrike, and 1 effect that functions like a melee ability as far as hit rating is concerned: Windfury (Windfury used white number aka normal melee attack hit rating in classic, but shamans didn't dual-wield in classic). You need to keep in mind that the 5% melee hit cap for PVP and the 9% for raids is for melee YELLOW DAMAGE numbers, and white damage numbers for characters wielding 1 weapon. For Enhance in TBC that means Stormstrike and Windfury. As long as you have those hit rating caps (5% for PVP, 9% for level 73s in raids) your SS and WF will never miss. But Enhance Shamans, like Fury Warriors and Rogues, are dual-wielders, and without including class talents, their hit rating cap for WHITE NUMBERS is approximately 25% in PVP and 29% in raids. For Enhancement Shamans, WF procs cannot occur without white auto attack hits. But meeting the hit cap for Stormstrike and the WF effect itself is often considered to be enough because it represent the boundary where you can much more reliably have WF proc off SS. I personally do not sacrifice much hit when I go over hit cap, like a Feral Druid or Hunter or Arms Warrior or Caster would. We do not have as many instant attacks as Warriors, and in fact because we imbue our weapons, much like how Rogues poison their weapons, hit rating never feels like wasted stat. For the same reason I will admit that expertise, a stat which is often considered to be low priority in PVP as opposed to its stardom in PVE, feels quite good in BGs and any fights with Warriors, Paladins, Hunters or Rogues. We don't always get the opportunity to focus a CC'd target (and thus positioning ourself behind them to eliminate dodge/parry chance) in PVP simply because we're a class in TBC without hard CC. Though with regards to BGs specifically, you are more likely to find Prot spec'd tanks in battlegrounds than arenas (deep prot tanks are quite rare in arenas). PS. In raids, for Enhance Shaman, dual-wielding is bis, but if you like to use 2-handers exclusively in PVP, any amount of hit over 5% is totally wasted. CDew, popular enhance shaman, DOES drop points from dual-wield specialization for more points elsewhere. Can check out his videos to see.

@@NicoNoMic Stam/Stun resist meta Gem. Boar's Speed. Stam on Legs. Also run resto talents, the increased hit for both spells and melee is pretty crucial and the totem range can be a game changer for tremoring/grounding your healer out of CC. However a lot of it depends on the comp you run too.

@@gavingreen2081 do you mind me asking for you character name and how far you’ve gotten in s arena? (Not being a Dick, but stuns are just kidney shot and cheap shot and some stuns from warrior weps {which will get replaced in s3 I believe.} whereas roots are from mages and Druid’s and can keep you CCed way longer.) I was thinking maybe spell hit rating on gloves. And 10% spell dmg reduction is huge over the hit in the elemental tree. I personally believe you’re just being cheap because you don’t want to spend the money on surefooted and the leg chant.

@@NicoNoMic FloobyTooby bro. 2k in 3s and 5s this season with multiple comps. When you’re rooted you can still shock, purge, totem unlike other classes. Way more important for a war to have surefooted. Again depends on the comp u run. As turbo you can get away with the lack of totem range but not grounding or tremoring your healer out of poly/clone/fear can lose you a game.
