This made my morning. You really captured the simple elegant essence of Paris! I can’t wait to go back. Thanks Stephane, loving the transition into vlogging.
Thank you so much for this! We last year went from Australia to Europe for the first time for me (but not my Dutch wife) and visited London, Paris, Austria skiing, Florence, Amsterdam and much more but Paris! Paris!!!
Thank you, Stephane! It is good to see you leaving Paris. I think, if I am not too biased, that the boulangeries were better outside of Paris. As we travelled the countryside, we found so many small towns with the most amazing pastries and traditional baguettes. Enjoy your travels.
just found your channel yesterday, and i was also roaming boulevard St. Germain yesterday! i live in the 6th. that band outside Eglise de St. Germain was awesome!
Je l'adore, Stephane. I used to take a morning figure painting class at the art academy Grande Chaumerie and passed La Bar a Huitres each week; then, after class a lunch or drinks at Rotonde. Le Select, a block away, was another favorite place for a nice meal or apreo en terrace. Every time I return, I try to stay close to Blvd. Montparnasse. Thanks again for good memories!
This was so much fun-it felt like I was right there on the sidewalk with you. The music accompanying the video was also fun and added to the sense of place.
Stood outside that seafood place in 2012 when going to a crepe house near Edgar Quinet metro. On the day we walked past an Aston Martin convertible was parked illegally, and when we came back it was still there, but not a parking sticker in site! God love Paris!!
This reminded me of when I visited Paris, (good memories of course). I live in San Francisco, but no one does it like Paris when it comes to food displays. Looking forward to your next videos. Thank you!
Stephan at 3:36 is me at 3 a.m at the fridge! LOL Paris is truly one of the most amazing cities in the world! So iconic and influential that other countries have blesses it's name!
@@deg00gleurself91 Culture is fluid. Constantly changing and evolving. Is that a positive thing or negative thing, depends on the person's outlook on life. Fusion in food for example? Evolution of recipes. Name a developed world culture that has never changed. What culture is the same as it was 50 years ago? Amish?. We are norse gaels/ viking celts.
@@_Odin_ changing is good as all things do but in general they adapt to the improvements in society However beheadings, child brides, fgm, sharia and the constant never ending violence are not cultural changes anyone should ever want.
@@deg00gleurself91 Seriously though… everyone is entitled to an opinion. But why do you feel the need to push it on a youtube video about cooking? No offence, I respect your opinion, I don't have to agree with it. reddit.com/r/worldnews might be the place for you, but I can tell you, this isn't the place.
@@_Odin_ I commented because Paris, in the video looked like the old Paris, the Paris I so loved, Paris today I have found to be much different and for one profound and fatal reason. I wish it were merely my opinion however reality is a very stern teacher. The romance of that city lost it's luster with the sound of rampant AK 47 gun fire. As I said, sad, sad, sad.
Hopefully you will hit Leon now that you are heading out of Paris. It's the only other place in France that rivals for the food capital. Monsieur Paul is dead now, but he left quite the legacy. Still, these videos really made me miss Paris, which I haven't been back to since 2000.
Graciously done excursion on the streets de Paris! Paris looks normal as before with the music you choose Mr Stephan? what is the spelling of your name? Cheers from Toronto!
Lovely, Stephane! Can you please show us how you interact while ordering food? Like in French 😍 I would like to see your own experience with that, like raw, like how it is 😍 If you'd like, ofc
@@dmyt-fr Thanks, Yes, I've had them many times, but it was fun to follow chef's lead. I discovered that the particular restaurant he was at was Le Bar à Huîtres, St. Germain. I can't wait until this summer. I live in the Arizona desert. Can I tell you how horrible seafood is here...
@@dmyt-fr And, yes I have indulged until I burst many times in Paris! :-) I'm coming over in July for an organ tour/workshop in London, Paris and throughout the Alsace. I'm only hoping St. Sulpice is up and running by then. Pax
what are you using to stabilize your camera? there's a slight walking bounce, but it's way too stable to be purely hand held. love the video, it's like an outtake from that woody allen movie Midnight in Paris. ridiculous, wonderful film about the magic of the city.
what was with the fellow at 2:29 wearing a cravat, pocket watch and umbrella? is that normal in europe, or is it seen as anachronistic? thanks for the vid by the way. beautiful. inspired me to look for similar vids for other european cities
Not sure what you mean by "vintage market", but the Aligre Market in the 12th arr. is wonderful and famous, especially on Sundays. The Bastille market has everything (Stephane's video on that is perfect). There is a All Natural food Market on Blvd Raspail, I believe on Sundays.
Some constructive feedback. You will notice your video pageviews are falling. I think your audience is interested in recipes, so you should give them that instead. If you want to do a vlog format, take a look at Mark Wiens and other bloggers like him with millions of subscribers. They really engage their audience and their videos are tightly edited. They talk almost non-stop at the camera, as if directly at the viewer. They do this for 15 to 30 minutes. It makes their videos entertaining and fast-paced.
Thanks for the feedback👍. I am not turning to vlogging at all, I just don't have a kitchen right now and since I can't cook on the streets or in a hotel, I am just enjoying taking some footage of places i am passing through and share it with everyone. It is fun to do and better for me then posting nothing at all for months 🙂
