Yes, unfortunately you need to have a connection to see the preview, before was going through the Bluetooth, but they change it a couple of years ago I think.. hopefully they will change it.
Totally agree, It is indeed a niche market :) But I think, if you are an amateur and want to document the construction of your house or something just for you, this could be an option at an affordable price and super simple to use.
How do you change the battery if you need more than 4 months?
- Precio €799 + IVA (Tikee3Pro + €1500 + IVA)
Thank you for the quick video. I must say that it's a bit disappointing to know that this model also has barrel distortion when you tilt it down. That was the main reason I didn't buy the Tikee 3 PRO+. In my country, before they start building, they dig very deep for the foundation and underground parking lot, so I must point the camera down. Also, what if I want to place the camera at a high angle? At the moment, I use the BIXION 4G intervalometer with a full-frame camera (Canon 6D + Samyang 16mm), and the price is about the same for the "Pack Tikee mini + solar panel." Let's not forget the obvious: my footage is ten times better quality. So, I can't really see the advantage of the Tikee mini compared to my setup.
Thank you, I am happy you enjoyed the video! Yes, the image quality is not as good as a DSLR or a mirrorless. Hopefully, one day it will be at the same level, but the sensor size is a limitation atm.. and yes, the distortion is a bit annoyng at first, but it can be mostly fixed inside program like Davinci or similar.. In my opinion, the advantage of the tikee compared to products like the one you have, (Which is a great product and great quality) is that you get a complete system without the need to do any DIY. For comanies that want to buy an easy-to-use, good quality and remote controlled camera that need almost no mantaince, I believe, this is the best option out there. But I also understand that for photographer like your self that wants the best quality possible this system can be a limitation.
