At last! No mixing of the laying & splitting tracks method with the braiding method in the explanations which strand to follow! It was high time. Only my friend Dmcq7 explained it correctly in one video. Although when tying because of what is in sight I often orientate on the other strand when going down. And you are so right about this method being beneficial in other knots.

Do you do the same enlargement process with lace of leather when doing a heel knot with a 5part 5 bit knot? Will it work with flat lace?
