I’m can’t tell you how many times I’ve watched the Turks head videos and tried to understand them. I finally got a 4 by 5 earlier tonight but it’s still not what I want so I’m going to try for a seven as you demonstrated here. I just want a sailor’s bracelet but wider. If I can’t get it again then I’ll wait a week and try again thx.
Hi Mark I like your videos because they are really clear and informative but please look at ABOK knot numbers 1319,1320 and 1321 where he defines square,narrow and wide Turks heads. I think these knots you are tying are narrow Turks heads and not wide Turks heads as you state. I’ve noticed similar mistakes in some of your other videos. I hope you aren’t offended by this comment because it’s not meant to be. I’m just a bit OCD about such things. 🤗🤗
No offense taken, it shows that you have insight into these knots. Personally, I classify these from a whipmaker's point of view where a long turk's head knot would run along the handle of a whip.
