Join me as I show how to put on the Enlightened Equipment Rain Skirt. Then I demonstrate how I put on the Enlightened Equipment Men's XL Copperfield Wind Pants. Finally I show how the Enlightened Equipment XL Torrid APEX Jacket Custom looks and fits. I'm sorry that the format is vertical on this video. I had to rotate the camera due to the limited space in the filming area and it was the only way to show me from head to foot so you could see how these fit. I am 195 lbs, 6' 1" and the XL fit me good.

Thanks for the demo. The Torrid APEX Jacket is just what I’ve been looking for.

Sumpdiver I really like it and it’s synthetic so it still keeps you warm.

Thanks for the video!!! If I might ask, how much did each item cost and how do they hold up to brambles and tree branches? The reason I ask is because hiking here in PA both are inevitable because of all the blow downs from trees dying from gypsy moths, lantern beetles and gold beetles. I have gotten so tired of replacing rain/wind gear I use on the AT that I have just started using Frogg Toggs because I can replace the jacket and pants for $25 at any Walmart.

Mike, The jacket is not cheap. $170 for the Custom Torrid (enlightenedequipment.com/mens-torrid-apex-jacket-custom/) but they have a sale in November and I think it's 10% off. The material is pretty touch but to be honest, I haven't hit any brambles yet. Even if it ripped a little, down won't come out because there isn't any. You could repair with Cuban fiber tape or tenacious tape, gorilla tape or maybe others. EE Wind Pants are $75 (enlightenedequipment.com/mens-copperfield-wind-pants-custom/) and same material as the Torrid jacket. Mainly I'll wear those on the Balds where there aren't many trees. Ran wrap (enlightenedequipment.com/rain-wrap-stock/) is $40. If all this stuff gets ripped up on the AT, I'll be pretty upset. Thanks for your comment! John
