Janky but the visuals, soundscape and atmosphere are there. Could you imagine DICE tried to make a WW2 game instead of some weird alternate history progressive POS?

Don't be. In its current state its a total dumpster fire on xbox. Controls suck terribly, its glitchy, and the A.I (which is 80% of the lobby) is worthless cannon fodder that stands in the open, won't fire at an enemy right in front of them, they are just there. It really kills the game for me. Such a great concept but in its beta state i would say don't buy the founder pack and wait and see when its finished and free
Thats why its a beta testing! Lets hope there is still work to do in order to improve it. Its seems superb and without the “progressive” shit thats taken the battlefield series lately.
@@Mandrak789 After playing it myself in one of the beta tests about a year ago.. yeah, jankier than old CoD games. I filled out a suggestion after testing about the movement where it could benefit the game if they slowed the characters down (or at least the animations) and it seems they did a bit. Although my problem with the game are the bots that follow players, it doesn't feel rewarding mowing down 15 soldiers of which 3 are actual players that just stand around or clutter narrow spaces, it also feels very empty when you have this squad of soules things that don't react to shots like, say, a squad in games like Squad or Post Scriptum would where it would be challenging to fight another squad and fun talking to your own.
The maps, graphics, and gameplay looks amazing. The audio is great but the only thing I don’t like is the Kar98 audio. That is really the only thing I don’t love about how this game looks so far.
This is literally Battlefield V & War Thunder mixed into one game... Kinda starting to get bored with all these 'jump into the action and just shoot anything that moves' WW2 games... We need a new refreshing take on WW2, something more immersive and interactive than old aging shooter games. We need something like the Tiger campaign on Battlefield V, but not as much of a let down lol.
Post Scriptum or Hell Let Loose could do the job, Day of Infamy as well if you're looking for infantry only with less planning and taking orders from team leaders. And also another option if you REALLY wanna immerse yourself and have a hell of a slow burning WW2 operation there's always ARMA 3 communities with WW2 mods enabled.
the biggest NO BUY for me is, that it's going to be free to play. I HATE microtransactions on console or computer games. I would rather make one time 50-60€ payment and have everything available. And not to spend 100€ for one tank or gun. lol.
@@mrbean2520 lol, I don't want it for free, because free games are shit and more expensive than paid games at the end because of free to play. I would gladly make one-time payment for fully unlocked game for example 60-80€. THIS GAME IS NOT FOR FREE.

Well durrrr they shouldn't make a game available for free if they need money should they?? That's why when this game get's fully released, i gurantee you (like @Job Work said) there will be microtransactions every where you look and it'll put a lot of people off the game... I remember back in the good old day's when you paid $40-$50 for a game, & you got the FULL game.... Not half a game that then tries to get you to pay another $40-$50 just on worthless microtransactions...
Now since its open beta... i can say its very easy to grind and u get weapons after every battle , unless you choose to pay ... its possible to grind easily
Graphically this is fantastic but the movements and animations (especially when the tank fires and there’s barely any movement or camera shake!?) Leave a lot to be desired. But as I say visually it’s stunning

@@LaughingMan44 Weapon model is wrong, bullet case don't drop right side, fire rate should be 3x faster and so on... That's not a hard task, because BFV is not a real WW2 game.
This game really needs a HUD overhaul. Truly, the best HUD is absolutely minimal and developers sometimes don't realize just slapping as much information on a screen as possible isn't the best.
the no recoil and i think this is a good game for people who arent like much into gaming but like ww2 it looks easy but on the other hand hell let loose is more mush harder in terms of recoil visual sight but is also more noob and new player friendly but on the other hand post scriptum is all recoil control out of the window recoil is insane lmao
this will kill hell let loose BFV heroes and generals and everything , hell let loose doesn't have the sounds of this game nor the fun nor the maps! go go i can't wait for release!!
Hell let loose has much more realistic sound design though, also you're not fighting five bots per one player but actual people that can out smart you if you're not careful or playing with your squad (Also it's a one time purchase you get the game you have everything and since this will be free... you won't have everything)
This looks more fast paced and casual than other ww2 games like Hell Let Loose and Post Scriptum This seems to kind of just be a more historically accurate version of Battlefield since it is casual looking instead of Hardcore
I think that's a good thing tbh, that's what people wanted from BFV, and they didn't get it, at least they have this now. There are already plenty of hardcore WW2 shooters, Red Orchestra, Day of Infamy, Forgotten Hope 2 and like you mentioned, Post Scriptum and Hell Let Loose.
@@sheevinit1490 Yeah, maybe this will show that you can still have fast paced casual gameplay while still being somewhat accurate. Seems to be that it's not so hard to be as accurate without sacrificing gameplay
I mean you can wait a few months for it to become free, plus this is basically a "beta" for the game. So it's gonna get glitchy, the upside to this is you get a special submachine gun unit depending on the pack you get. So if you want to play the game early and you have the money go-ahead. But this is gonna be a free game soon.
So far on console my observations are that it looks very good however there are 2 major issues. The movement overall is shoddy and the fact there's no feedback on the controller when you fire a weapon is truly atrociuos. You're shooting and the weapon recoils but you don't feel so much as a twinge on the pad. Fix them and they might be onto something
@@jaybeeonyt well yes seen as though every other shooter on console utilises the rumble pad for recoil/feedback. Not difficult to understand. It's basic stuff
@@itzmrman3574 It looks not bad, for consoles it's a fresh take on real war shooter. I don't like all the icons popin up when you kill someone etc. In a proper realsim shooter you shouldn't know if you killed your enemy unless you check for yourself for a body. Bud yeah, good to see something like that on the gaming scene.
00:17:22 + those are horrible positions for belt-fed machineguns. Any soldier worth his salt would have found longer sight-lines and chopped down that damn tree.
It's multiplayer but has AI squads following players.. so let's say there are 3 players running on the field, in total that would be 15 soldiers... which is one thing I have against this game... mowing down AI gets boring quickly
