been playing Enlisted for a year and i can agree with everything you said. Enlisted can be better but devs are not prioritizing the important parts like the core gameplay but are more focused on the Premium part of the game. Honestly if they keep this up Enlisted is just gonna become another P2W game.
its already is, if they make the grind a little bit easier, they game would be so much fun, every campaign is problematic, except normandy maybe?? idk.
Why do games have to have so much grind? It's gotten to the point where playing an older game like Red Orchestra/Darkest Hour or Battlefield 1942 actually feels refreshing. It's all there ready to go...just play and have fun.
Moderate progression is good for player retention, but some games maliciously hope to get you addicted to the grind and progressively slow it down to try and sell premium accounts and other boosts.
@@kristiankonev5190 I'd say war thunder has a better grind than enlisted, the grind in war thunder can take forever and still sucks, I'm not defending it, but enlisted is horrible for new players, first they are bombarded with information with every single aspect of your squad being able to be changed and upgraded in the smallest ways, so many different currencies, matches take forever and the reward you get for playing is so small, I'd say the grind is much longer than in war thunder because you have to grind each campaign and all the actual good stuff is always at the end. for someone like me who wants to play in the tank, the tanks suck more in this game than war thunder, some tanks don't get to use their aphe and the solid shot is just ass, they produce no spalling when they penetrate an enemy tank. like what am I supposed to do in a Stuart against an enemy tiger? that's just bullshit, I thought about spending some money on the game but after reading reviews of other people who did I decided it's not worth it for me.
Idiotic progression and splitting the playerbase and progression into different "campaigns" is moronic. Waiting for them to fix that, Warthunder system is much better. When they will merge every campaign into 1 game, i'll get back. Otherwise, it's a no.
Maybe grinding system in WT is better, but matches are worse. I was on 1 week strike without any won game. My best kill streak was 2. This game sucks much more because sometimes you won't do anything. While in Enlisted you will get at least any score.
@@tjlockie2214 they’re actually merging the campaigns and the progression will be factions based (USA,Russia,Germans, and japanses, etc.) they made post saying something along the lines “the hit to historical accuracy is worth it to make the leveling, and progression more convenient. (Also the game wasn’t THAT historically accurate to begin with)
@@smokeablesquid6519 that’s why I said SEMI historical accurate. It was historically accurate with the gear existing in that time period. Now I can use an IS2 in Moscow which didn’t even exist yet.
5:12 I have a story to this, basically this situation on Moscow and my friend says there's like 20 Germans coming our way and be wasn't lying and we hid in a small bit rock bucket behind enemy lines as they would run past us but we couldn't do anything cause we had crappy bolt actions against a giant horde, but it was a funny memory.
Campaign progression is bad because you progress one side, and other one stucks at level 1. It goes that way: I've got 30lvl on this side, why should I switch faction with crappy gear that I can't buy, because it stuck on level 1. If you reach level 5 you don't get SMG for both nations, no...
Agree with most of the things you say. I've said my piece on the game and the state of the game multiple times throughout the years, and have called for a rework to progression multiple times. It's a good game, but the problems with the game have led to people like myself calling for a boycott Also the Panther's Gold Order skin is a meme at this point. Seriously the amount of issues with that skin is beyond comical
@@GnorriTV it's got the ability to become one of the, if not the best free to play FPS game, but it needs a large rework to progression and the devs need to both get new players in and keep them in, as at the moment in the game it's a drip feed of new players who start the game, either go about halfway through the campaign and quit, or quit quickly, with the rest of the playerbase being veteran players with all the gear / squads they need to solo carry games
Agreed plus after the pacific update, feels like the player base fell off a cliff. The high caliber update helped bring players back but they need to merge campaigns or something
As Enlisted CBT everything here is true, in addition, it is the most expensive free to play game. One linear progression is terrible. They can't add anything earlier, we now have PzKpfw IV F2 and MKb 42(H) in Moscow. Panzer II versus T-34? Even if you develop the German line the Russian bias is unbelievable, all Soviet tanks have BR higher than their German opponents. T-50 is some bad mistake, it is OP like rest of Russian tanks and IRL practically unseen in the war, they made only 70 units. Common on the front SU-76M was made 12 thousand pieces, but they made it premium? What a nonsense. Too bad because I like the idea of this game.
I tried Enlisted, but even if it's not developped by Gaijin directly you can tell they have their hands in it. Not touching two games where these nerds have their hands in it.
I started as a level 1 newbie with a bolt action... I worked through it, persisted and leveled up. Why do you expect everything handed to you on a plate? Is it a generational thing or something?
You sound like a boomer Why ? Because this is a game, not real life. Video games shouldn't feel frustrating for newcomers or else you'll end up playing with bots. Its not fun getting into unbalanced matches where your team is either bots or newbies with low rank weapons while you play against people with premiums or late campaign weapons - Watch video once again, you missed the point entirely
When you mentioned that usually its a PVE expiriance, that made me think, wouldnt you (or whoever is playing this just for the PVE expiriance) play Ravenfield instead?
@@GnorriTV Covering the trials, tribulations and dramas of H&G would be entertaining, although it would necessarily be in the same spirit of your regular videos :P
Love your videos Gnorri ! My favorite one ,is the Rainbow Six 3 video you made ,I think I already watched that video 10 times already xD Keep up homie !
Because i had managed to receive a high enough rank after long grind with my Italian squad with Barettas, Armaguerras and stuff it hurts like hell to start playing battle of Moscow where i can only transfer set Mp 40 only after grinding to rank 11. Untill that rank the game seems bit more boring. I understand fully having to do that with allies let's say which I didn't used to play, but doing axis from scratch again... At least if i could transfer max of 5 weapons from another campaign without having to reach that level or something... I'm sure it wouldn't break the game that much...
Will you review Company of Heroes 3 when it comes out in February? I loved your videos on the older CoHs and Dawn of War games. I'd like to see your comments on the depiction of Italian troops and also the campaign that takes place in Italy.
The ability to customise your own squad in ww2 setting, that was bought me here, the game itself is kinda heavy on the wallet, I don’t even feel like I have premium, but my goal is to fully equip every single squad, so I focus on one camping at the time.
Been playing regularly for about 8 months. Completely agree with you. It's got lots of potential but the devs currently seem more interested in making money than in making a better game.
idk whats dificult about being in a Panzer 2 and facing a T34 , a Panzer 2 cant pen a T-60 anyway , just dont play it and wait till you got a better one , when i was with a Panzer 2 if the enemy have anything above a Bt7 i just spawn in a assault squad with Explosive pack
As I said in the video it depends on the map. Grayzone camping tanks in open maps like Quarry will make it impossible to even reach some caps and the only reliable answer is a good tank of your own or a CAS plane with decent bombs, neither of which new players are going to have. You raise a good point though, some starting vehicles like the Panzer 2, the Normandy Stuart and the Autoblindo 41 are so hopelessly outmatched that, unless the team is utterly stomping the enemy, they're only a detriment and nobody should ever use them. But that's hardly ideal for either balance or the new player experience, isn't it?
Thanks for review. Saved me time on trying it. Looks cool tho. Will revisit in a year. Question: Do you play Escape from tarkov? Whats your view on that one?
If there's ever some major rework that makes Enlisted worth playing I'll try to cover it. Never tried Tarkov, it looks fine but it's not the type of game that interests me. Dark and Darker is the one Tarkov-like that actually somewhat interests me but it's a long way away.
I've played enlisted on and off for the past year, and I gotta say, as a f2p console player who has more than 3 braincells, it's rough. My weapons suck. My teammates suck. It's just too harsh on new players, and old players get bored.
This game would heavily benefit with an offline mode. Sure, less seasoned players like me can grind with AI soldiers for hours and hours on end, without getting nearly as many experience points as I would playing online, but it seems I'm always getting punished for having a lousy internet connection.
then lobbies would have been empty I came back to the game this week cuz im bored af most lobbies i get is just braindead bots on both teams game isnt worth anyone's time just buy hell let loose you'll thank me later
After 1000 hours in warthunder I thought i would give it a shot, gameplay is quite fun but menu is just terrible and confusing and i have no desire to understand it… they need to fix interface
