it mainly happens when people are around because your brain doesnt actually stop working while sleeping, it just processes it differently, which is why responses sometimes are weird or creepy. and basically if you're dreaming, your brain will always adjust the dream to actually fit the stimuli it receives (because that's just wat the brain constantly does anyway, there is just less info while asleep), so if someone slaps you while you are dreaming it will always affect something in the dream

The brain coming up with a scenario in real time while you're dreaming has happened to me too. I was having a dream where I was being chased by, like, men in black types, and they shot me in the shoulder. When I woke up, I discovered that I had somehow managed to DISLOCATE MY SHOULDER IN MY SLEEP.

Bruh that reminds me of when i dreamt of being at a bowling alley and we were full force throwing the bowling ball at each other to catch for fun, then a tom and jerry tom, full on just the cat spoke to me and said have you ever been hit in the head by a bowling ball before, i said no it looked like it would hurt, proceeds to then bonk me in the head with the bowling ball and i woke up to realise i hit my head against the wall in my sleep and got a concussion and sleep paralysis at the same time. I did not sleep afterwards for that night

I have dream where i know i was dreaming, so i just kinda chilling after the scary guy, trying to trick him and seeing all those weird scenario that forced you into some place, im not prepared tho, so when the scary guy stab me from the back, its hurt so real i can breath, i dont even hit anything in my bed but its hurt i dont know how, i cant breath. Ill never do it again, its hurt, and it can kill me.

One of my housemate experience horror when I'm sleeping. He wanna go to his room after he went to the bathroom. I sprung up from my bed, pointing my finger at him, eyes straight on him. I said, "Stop moving!". Then I go back to sleep. He was stunned. He said he stood there for like 15 minutes before realized i was sleep talking

I've heard that if you are in a different or unfamiliar environment than where you usually sleep then you will have a less restful deep sleep. So it could explain the reason that they could not catch themselves doing something while they were sleep recording themselves.

i remember one of my cousins recorded me sleep gaming was playing majoras mask if recalled apperently he caught me playing and completing that game in a week striaght when i lived with him for the summer... i was seven years old at the time. when i wake up every morning until the game was beaten there be things i completed quite a bit of objectives in the game and when i finished the game i asked myself how the hell i beaten the game when i dont remember much of it.. it was really weird to say least...

I remember one time when i was younger i had a nightmare and i heard someone screaming, then i woke up to myself ”screaming“ aka trying to scream but just pushing out air. Kind of scary how the brain processes while sleeping.. i remember having lots of nightmares as a kid. Still have some really bad ones but far less frequently

Had the same experience like them, but it was with my big brother instead. So when I was a little I always sleep with my big brother, and one day when I was sleeping beside my big brother and he is still awake in the middle of the night, he suddenly see me waking up with my eyes wide open and just start to choke my bolster pillow very intensely for no reason and he also told me that I was mumbling some random voice like I was possessed

I've gotten so used to my family calling me while I'm stuck in my room and I instinctively yell back "YEAH?" to answer them, but now I've started doing something weird where I'll be asleep and I dream about hearing a family member call out to me. Normally nothing happens because I'm a very deep sleeper and I can tell the difference between my dreams and reality, but once in a blue moon I'll be in this borderline deep sleep state where I'm not quite there but _almost_ there, dream a family member is calling me, and I yell out "YEAH?" and wake myself up. It's kind of embarrassing because my room is right next to someone else's and I'm pretty sure I wake them up randomly screaming "YEAH?" in the dead of night. It's also caused me to wake up with a scream when I'm in that state and I'm having a nightmare, but I feel like it's probably much more common for someone to wake up screaming from a nightmare.

With the lack of tone and facial expressions, there's always the possibility that words can be misinterpreted, so you either speak in no uncertain terms with clear indication, or you invite misinterpretation. As for why I would think you have negative intentions towards me, you either haven't spent much time on the internet or you're just baiting, and considering that you'll blame someone else for your easily misinterpreted language, I'm willing to bet you just don't spend that much time on the internet, or at least you've been blessed with avoiding the inevitable toxicity for a time.

I've been told I do something similar to Enna's roommate. In the army we have something called fire guard, basically just a rotating guard shift that lasts about an hour, and you would have to be woken up for it by the previous guards. Well according to my battle buddy, basically the guy I was assigned to partner up with through all of basic training, I told the guards to fuck off and let me sleep on more than one occasion lol I don't remember doing it at all either, for me they would wake me up and I'd slowly drag myself out of bed and throw on my uniform, never saying a word

I do have these moments when I'm exhausted, go to sleep, and while dreaming, I was to yell something but it doesn't come out, and I force myself to actually say it irl, but then I actually wake up. The creepy dreams I had were when I woke up twice in a dream. Fucking hell, but I knew it was a dream so I just went on with it and had fun. It made sense when it didn't make sense in the dream.

bruh My younger sister once told me that a long time ago when we were kids, and had beds next to each other, that one night I just sat straight up, turned my head to look straight at her and just stayed there for like a minute then laid back down and went to sleep. Freaked her the fuck out.

i like how it is edited :) most time i read the subs because of sliding and scrolling effects, btw my little daughter can sit up in her sleep straight not using arms, and sometimes she put her head on legs :D
