I am a 5w4, but most my friends see me as a 4w5, since they only see my creative side. But little do they know that sometimes when I pick a paint colour to work with - I've already researched the origins of the paint color, where it got its name and if it is an artificial or earth pigment. No wonder my degree is in Art History and not Fine Arts. lol
Haha that's awesome. 😆 Our wing controls our behaviors so people do end up seeing us as our wing more than our core type. Sounds like you're in the perfect degree for your type 👏 👏
Was at the local bookstore lately and realized why I liked art history so much when I took a class. “I really like history, knowledge, facts, and yet also like art and creativity. So clearly, I’m going to love something that combines the two into a nice harmonious package.” INTP 5w4. Majored in philosophy. Extremely good at it. But I really liked that art history class I took.
I definitely mistyped as a 4w5. But I feel more intellectual over wanting to be authentic and wanting to 'stand out'. I don't feel like I do that as much as I withdraw from my feelings. But after the 5, I am most certainly a 4. I do want to be authentic but I feel like 'I need to think about how' (wanting to understand) instead of 4s, wanting to express themselves/ having that freedom. ✌ The 5w6 side is definitely 'me' as well, but I relate less to it. But it is very important to me to have stability, but I would always choose authenticity over stability. Even though I am a nurse, haha (which is the most stable job you'd ever find, lol) I will always score as a 4 in tests. Because I find authenticity very important in my daily life. I am 5w4 but relate to the organized and planning parts of 6. But the explanation is spot on. It does combine 5 knowledge/rationality with 4 individual expression. Most of my fashion choices are based on scientific research to give an example.
As an INTP 5w6, I appreciate the simplified but sufficiently concise explanations you guys use in your videos. I am pretty much a stereotypical average-health INTP 5w6 -- software architect and dev and all. That said, I am not sure I can agree with the statement that 5w6 likes to plan out the future; I feel like this is more of an assumption of 5w6 tending to be associated with INTJ. My wife is an INTJ 2w1 and very much does plan for the future like that, but it certainly isn't my natural inclination. I tend to naturally focus more on avoiding potential issues in future plans, so while I don't often make long-term plans myself, I do feel I have a place in ensuring her plans have their optimal chance of success. I suppose I don't make long term plans because of the infinite variables that could determine success or failure that I cannot properly account for. This sounds entirely like an INTP issue that maybe I just need to work on with my therapist, but I do not recall ever really feeling comfortable trying to plan, especially when such plans would involve other people; other people are the #1 problem variable in every plan I've ever tried to make lol

@@Thespiritualrebel_ I suppose that is a distinct possibility! I think the point may more concisely be made as a desire for future security; with my wife effectively securing that naturally for me meets that need. Makes sense to me 😊
I'm solidly a 5w4, but when I need to plan or am in charge of activities I see my 5w6 in play to make sure I get all the details covered. I'm noticing a lot more health as well in demonstrating more 8 characteristics in my leadership recently!
I definitely feel I'm both - but if I had to pick it would be 5w4. I get called quirky a lot. However the tests always pin me as 5w6. I think they're wrong.

I have 5w4 quirks but I'm more structured like a 5w6. I like my "what if" backup plans and a 5 year goal plan. I would say 20 year plan but i'm about 15 years in. lol
A mistype is always possible but not all 5w6s are necessarily paranoid about security. They are focused on it for sure but you don't have to be worried about stability to be a 5w6. In fact, we know a 5w6 and he doesn't seemed worried about security at all. But he knows that it is something that is very important to him. Hope this helped!
