Ennemond Gaultier (1575-1651), also known as Le Vieux Gaultier or Gaultier de Lyon Gigue in D minor, La Poste Played by Antoine Pansera Audio and Video by René Paradis Instrument: 13 course Baroque Lute by Cezar Mateus
Thank you very much Vienna Lute! And honestly I find that it's a pretty big lute for playing French repertoire... incidentally on my other 13 courses (which is a bass rider), the extension broke recently. At first I was scandalized but I toyed with the idea of leaving it like this in 11 courses without extension, just readjusting the nuts/saddle and using it exclusively for the French repertoire. To be continued... Have a nice day!
Bon week-end, 🙂
Thanks Doctor7! By the way I saw your recent update on the Sugar string following your video from a couple of months ago. I love most of the Aquila products (Nylgut is used on most of the courses in this video), but unfortunately Sugar strings have just too many issues : intonation, squeak, breakage... Cheers!
