Trying to get him to kill him for you the damage trade-off is horrible. Every tiny sliver of Health gets taken from him when he gets hit by one of them balls of magic he ends up, whacking you for half health bar. Definitely a strategy that could be worked into something.
This game has surpassed Bloodborne in design IMO. I only draw the comparison because I finished Bloodborne just before this dropped. The gameplay and overall quality of design and performance is astounding. I have a few gripes but this is quickly becoming my favorite souls like, even ranking above the souls series in my mind for the most part.
