In my country we have a very popular pop singer who lost his voice due to the exploitation of his vocal chords with non-stop concerts within a period of 10 years. He now cannot sing properly. Maybe something similar is happening to Enrique
Totally agree, even me a big fan that more than 15 years is listening daily to his songs can see/hear how bad the last years he sings live. Probably poor audio mixing, maybe the instrumentals are way too loud and he can't hear himself, maybe he thinks that autotune will cover the poor singing, maybe he's tired, maybe he didn't practice at all or not even warming before singing, or just he's confident that people doesn't care much about music, but more about the show. Idk, the very last live shows he was really good were in 2007-8.
@@eddwardmusic I suppose the instrumentals are way too loud and he can't hear himself. Anyway, it's just my opinion when I compare his previous concerts I can hear his voice more clearly than the instruments or issues but whatever the reason, I'm still his fan. I'll just have to wait for his statement. God bless them all.
@@lykabancale That’s good to hear. I was at the Boston show in 2021. He was pretty solid. Avoided high notes in Escape, Bailamos and Hero but I never noticed being off key. Maybe he was sick at some of the early shows this tour!

People in the comments here are so much nicer about his vocal performance than they are to Madonna on her latest tour (who sounds a lot better than this), which is an annoying double standard. I think a lot of these older singers get vocal fatigued more easily from singing night after night. If your voice is over tired you have to push out the notes a lot more. I'm sure we've all experienced it after talking/screaming a lot on a night out and the next day being hardly able to talk. Imagine that in your 50s or 60s and 60+ nights in a row. I don't doubt he would sound good if he had a month off and then was well warmed up.
The band and backup vocalists do so much of the heavy lifting. Its like enrique figures he can just rock up without any prep and do as little singing as possible and everyone will still love him. I mean some do but i think others are realising how much of a cash grab this is for enrique. There were 2 other performers in this tour and he is the only one getting dunked on by the internet. That says a lot. I honestly didn't know enrique was known as a bad singer for years so it's disappointing to see this

People universally used to accept Mariah Carey was a great vocalist but obviously her voice box has been damaged and can't sing well now and she hasn't even got the excuse of being a prolific tourer. Celine Dion was another vocal powerhouse but even before her current illness she had to mime her harder songs as her voice disappeared as she got older.
Enrique and Ricky had a tour in 2021 and I went to that concert. I wasn't a big fan of Ricky at that time so I was there for Enrique. Ricky performed the show very well with nice outfits, stage settings, dancers and bands. Later when Enrique came out, his part was so poorly performed. I was sitting at the last row of mountain top, and I felt like I sang better than him. He was completely out of key, couldn't reach the high or low. Glad the backup singers kinda helped him but I was meant to see him singing not the backups!!!! After that show, I became a Ricky fan and I lost my love to Enrique. This time Pitbull joined the tour, me and a bunch of zumba instructors went to the concert and we sat very close to the stage. Like last time, Ricky opened the show with good preparations and great dancers! No surprise, I was disappointed again with Enrique. Only a black T-shirt and a black jeans for the whole time, all the audience dressed better than him, but it's OK. However, no dancers with his clubbing style hit music? Excuse me? And again, he was out of key the whole time. I couldn't even hear what he sang and this time, he let audiences sang more than him. I felt like he got no rehearsals or preparations at all. I am sorry my words are mean but I paid almost $500 for the ticket. Thankfully, Pitbull saved the concert and he was a really humble person, told us his story and interacted a lot with us. Next time I will go for Pitbull's solo.
I was to Ricky’s concert about 6 times since 2006. He was always awesome! Never disappointed once. Then I saw Enrique about 10 years ago and it was awful… even back then. Was very disappointed

Yes he might sound off key but he sang LIVE, he moved breathtakingly , the fans were ecstatic . He just needs to recalibrate his voice and learn from this .
Or maybe he's just never been a singer, and the crowd are extatic to see him but not hear him. This was a lousy performance, and it will never be better either.

I must say you sound stupid if you compare success in sales with quality as a live singer. Enrique Iglesias is a very bad singer, worse than most of the artists mentioned above.
Shit! This is Sad. How did the guy convinced himself to perform like this in front of these many people. Nonetheless, He was a very very good singer and I'd always be listening to his old hits when he had control over what he's singing.
How is it that female performers are asked to perform legit and dance and still sing live and he can’t even sing live. He’s not dancing or even moving a lot and at the higher notes he lets the crowd take over. It just seems like a really lazy performance from him. Disappointing.
I think his performance was affected by bad acoustics and sound engineering in combination with overuse of his voice. He is very talented but time and overuse take a toll on one's body.
People say that he can't sing. They say that it all computer thing. Yes maybe today with AI you can sing and AI will make voice beautiful, just on the fly, but 2-3 years ago definetly this technology was not exist. Especially in the 90s. Here, I think he just start to troll people.
Theyre not talking about AI, theyre talking about autotune. Autotune definitely existed at the peak of enrique's career. This technology was popularised in the 90s and different forms of computer assisted audio processing and pitch correction was used in the music industry for years prior to that.
He can't reach the soft notes. He is out of tune! I love him and have been his fan over 20+ years. BUT, he needs either singing lessons so he can reach his soft notes or just stop singing because with that voice, Ana can start making "memes" and profit from the memes' views😅. It is so sad 😔!
