I used (stone) ceilings instead of foundations for the floors. Seems to work fine and saved some time when just starting out.

one thing of note when fighting... parry timing... the enemies weapon obtains a blue sheen just before attacking, this helps with leaning when to parry.

There is an option in accessibility that allows you to see gems at the top of the item to show weapon quality aka common, uncommon... etc.

Thanks for the video - I really like your Satisfactory ones as well. I just started playing this game but have stopped because it keeps crashing to the desktop with a memory dump and fatal exception error. Once they fix it, I'm sure I'll spend many hours playing.

Don't like using the targeting. I disabled it by unbinding it. Definitely enjoying the game a bunch!

What is the point of 15/20 min buff timers. It's so annoying when they are put into games. The buff will have gone by the time you're ready to go off in a group to explore.

Prep to explore then buff yourself? 15-20 minutes is enough time to get pretty far with the teleport system and travel options in game.

@@TotalXclipse Ach I know, but that's one (or three) more things to remember, and I ain't getting any younger! It was probably my time playing Warcraft that has soured me towards that style of play. Felt like I was constantly having to watch timers and rebuff instantly to even stand a chance in a raid, was all a bit too much. By the way, my comment wasn't supposed to come across as critical of your vid, love your satisfactory vids, they really got me into the game big time.

No worries, I didn't see it as critical :) In this game, the timers can be increased - the comfort level of your home increases the rested timer by one minute per level, so for my current house, I have about a 1 hour rested bonus (providing I don't die :p)@@speedhorn1

You can grow your own trees, or they'll grow back if you're playing on a local save, Dedicated Servers I believe will track demolition of the environment

I've not heard about limited - the only thing is currently you have about 8 altars available across the world - so not everyone can have their own if you're running 16 players - but the game is supposed to be a co-op PVE its not really about building your own base, especially given bases can be the size of small towns as the flames are upgraded

Really easy for anyone to pick up and play this game :) I'd say it's probably a more cosy survival game too vs the more hardcore - good gate way game :D

I am also not big on survival games I have enjoyed what i have played on palworld and i could never really get into Pokémon. But this looks very interesting. I got a ways in Conan survival but got bored because of all the work necessary to keep going so for the price I may have to give it a go.

Looks good, but can you switch to 1st person and play it with a VR headset? And if not, as it's in development, could you suggest the developers add that feature please? 2024 is going to be the year of VR gaming with so many headsets coming out, and I would LOVE to play this game in VR to be able to FEEL like you're there, and from what I have seen in your demo, as the tools don't really interact with items, it should be an easy mod.

@@TotalXclipse it would only really need to hide the avatar and add a second camera for the 3D view; in an already fully 3D games, VR support is easy.

I'm tired of all VR games being 1st person. It's because of clueless gamers like you that demand that that ALL VR games are boring AF because they are all FPS. The best VR experiences I"ve had were NOT first person. It would be perfectly find to have this 3rd person view in VR. That being said, VR is not wide spread, it's expensive. This is an indie dev in early access. Keep dreaming. sheesh.

@@AngryAlfonseI assume they were talking about outside programs/injectors that enable "fake" vr support, these let you play most games that don't actually support vr while using a vr headset, palworld for example can be played in vr with these.
