The Ensignbus heritage running day, based at Lakeside bus station, on 2nd December 2023. A few 'guest' vehicles took part alongside the vintage fleet, including the return of unique B7TL / Enviro400 SN56AWX, which had also appeared at the 2021 event. For 2023, most of the newer buses were scheduled to operate on the X81 between Shenfield and Tilbury, while the other two routes serving Lakeside were mainly worked by RTs and Routemasters.
