i am a fan of metallica...and i am a christian..and i have to admit... it is true...even when metallica's songs and lyrics are the best on that genre( it is the only metal group i hear) even so when i heard metallica's song...it feels heavy and full of emotions..as a christian we shouldn't listen to it..i will not say it is satanic but it is "heavy"...it alters mind..it makes you excited and full of emotions....and yes..i am also from Panama...i understand him perfectly...can ask you something?...are you willing to give the other cheek to someone that hurted you? that is not easy...There are a lot of people saying i am christian...but in real life they do not practice it...! @@raulbuster3152 there is noting inherently wrong with drugs of any kind. It is only a problem when you can't control yourself on them. I've experimented with a bunch of different drugs when I was younger, never got hooked on them and used them responsibly. I would argue by your logic that makes guns evil. Guns like drugs are just a tool. You don't blame the tool for killing someone. Do you know how many people have been killed in the name of God? You don't see me blaming the bible for killing all of these people do you? The only thing you need to be wary of in life is groups of people. There is where most of the worlds problems lay.

No I go to church every Sunday and on Wednesdays and I’m not the western idea of a Christian if I want to I will pray at home I don’t think that I should have to go to a church to pray and no I don’t use drugs or alcohol

I respect Protestant Christians but I never really understood their whole concept of music and movies. I'm Catholic, I listen to metal (Metallica being my favorite), and I'm pretty sure I'm not going to hell just because I jam to some heavy stuff. Religion and metal can go hand in hand anyways. Black Sabbath is composed of Christian band members (Geezer Butler being Catholic), and they practically made songs about evil because ya know they warned about its dangers. You can be Christian and enjoy horror movies, horror books, metal, everything. Those things alone don't and shouldn't define your soul.
That's too soft. I'm a Catholic and listens to Cannibal Corpse. Metallica is like a nursery rhyme for me. But I dont see any problem with it though. Worship is different from appreciating someone's work of art, especially if it is not that mortally damaging. Like several of what Metallica sings talk about the negative side of the human condition. I think that's what even Jesus mentioned in the bible.

I am a Christian and I only listen to rock and metal. Black Sabbath for example openly write about and praise God in their songs (War Pigs,After Forever). Nowhere in the Bible does God condemn this type of music. There are some very evil bands like Gorgoroth and what have you, but Metallica hasn't written anything immoral or evil

When I was a christian long time ago (in a galaxy far, far away), I had no problem of listening to any metal bands. King Diamond and Mercyful Fate were (and still are) my favorites.
I would meet him half way and say that anything after the black album (and that's being generous) is not Metal, and is known as tallicA. 1982-1989 was MetallicA, everything after that is a mistake.

Some Christians only listen to Christian music (gospel, contemporary, etc.). It isn't necessarily that metal is "the devil's music," but the reason could be as simple as "it's secular music." I'm not a Christian, but I do know a few who are like this, so I'm offering an explanation based on experience. I could be dead wrong, not knowing the pitcher personally.
