What a great human Rou is... Thanks for the interview! It's always amazing listening to Rou, espacially when he's talking about his thoughts behind the music.
Such brilliant human beings. Always have relevant things to say. But disappointed with the interviewer dismissing Rou's concern about the echo, not cool. Not a great look for the channel but excellent to listen to Rou so thanks for that
AI art is only bad when it’s stealing artwork from others to use as a base. The flowers/forest wasn’t anyone’s IP. Like really dig deep and articulate why using AI for their album art matters
They said they worked together with the artist that used it and assuming paid them for it. The issue is when, for example, a big company/individual who would otherwise use and pay an artist instead uses AI to rip off said artists work as a means to get out of paying someone for their labor. In general there's no problem with AI assisted/generated work, the way some people use it is where the issues are.
@@Tshegg08 The flowers and forest were part of someone's body of work at some point. It's a huge part of what Adobe is doing for Firefly, it's taking the work of people who contributed to Adobe Stock without being given the option to opt out of having their work used to train the model. Even if I upload pictures to the internet because I enjoy taking them and sharing them with others, that doesn't mean I consent to having my unique vision of the world around me get eaten and regurgitated by a machine.
@@ThatShaunBoy There's no way to use AI for this purpose ethically imo. The parent companies of Midjourney and StableDiffusion (for instance) will want to save as much money as possible, so demanding a payment for licensing one's creative work to the models' training database is out of the question. You're still having the art of other people destroyed and rebuilt by those machines when you use them, most of them being unaware of what is being done with their work.
awsome songwriting, lyrics, musicianship, videos, live performance, great vibe at gigs AND seem like really great, down to earth people...the perfect band!
