I’m glad someone is calling it out. I didn’t get in this community for Drama. I’m here for knowledge and entertainment of the hobby. Thanks for putting this video out there. It’s so dumb seeing these “content creators” making video after video basically justifying themselves for there own actions. It’s kind of sad and pathetic.
I'm a member of the statue /prop collecting community, and it's the same thing there. Not sure why things degenerate that way. Human nature I suppose. Thanks for the fantastic video!
Here's a simple observation: the people that got the most heated about this video are actually the ones causing the most drama on RU-vid and off RU-vid in people's personal lives. Keep up the good work, I appreciate what you're trying to do.
Zohar is a big time drama queen, he has made his whole persona around this really aggressive overly passionate clicky “you’re with us or you’re racist” BS. I’m over it
For some reason, the quote “only a sith deals in absolutes” comes to mind. Zohar is not sith, but I know it’s important to focus on the good rather than the bad in life and in people. I pray he can do that on this space…

Its tribalism and it will never go away. I am all for vigorous debate on the products and keep the personal stuff out of it. The whole arcade community is way more Feels over Reals. When someone criticize products that people like and or own they take it personal, like its an attack on someone's judgement. I think taking extremes of love and hate and the truth is somewhere in the middle. I don't mind the drama at all as long as its about the companies and products and not personal attacks. I'm here for the content, not the bs, not the telling us how we should "feel" about things.
@@outruntheneonsun You are right lets laugh and relax and have fun and stay above the fray, content creators work it out or block. I'm here for the arcade content not the other bs. We want all three companies to thrive in 2023, all three Zohar and I don't even like A1up products but I do not want them to fail.
Its been like this a while now. CFB has been making negative/ de-meaning content for several years. He does nothing for the arcade community. He has many other people besides Brad that he’s attacked.

I understand what you’re doing psychologically to diffuse certain people’s ego’s. A suggestion to encourage content creators in a positive way is in no way “White Knighting” or virtue signaling. When people are so incredibly rigid… going as far as saying they won’t watch your content anymore - they have a difficult time accepting healthy discourse and opposition. Pride is a sin. This isn’t high school… these are 40-50 year olds talking about which lunch table you should sit at. You’re not helping them by entertaining this kind of behavior. Don’t belittle yourself to appease individuals that are exercising domineering behavior and are the root cause of the drama unfolding in the community.
I don’t think I’m belittling myself Mikey, but I do want to always hear different perspectives and since Zohar has been nothing but supportive of me in the past, I want to give him the benefit of the doubt and be teachable from him. He’s earned that from my personal perspective and has always shown me kindness and excitement towards what I was doing. But, even OTG has a point in that I am perhaps naive in this space and wanting to ride in and save the day with words of peace and encouragement. I just didn’t think it fully through to be honest. I think it’s always good to learn. I’m not saying everything I said was wrong at all, but each person should have the freedom to choose whatever they want to watch…I’m just going to try and encourage to be positive. That’s all. I appreciate the sentiment. I am doing my best to not to make my channel about the drama. I’ve already had a couple channels talk about me and it’s disheartening. You feel like you need to defend yourself but I’m going to “try” not to do that. A lot of people makes jokes about things online too and it’s easy to forget that could be offensive to someone else. Life is hard, and like you say we don’t need anymore drama in our lives already. Creating lasting friendships with people will stand the test of time. Stay humble and be thankful for what we have. A couple years ago all of us had none of these machines/toys all. Thanks Dan

You’ve got a good and pure spirit, Dan, and it’s a great influence in this community. Unfortunately, to steal Alfred’s line the Dark Knight, some people just want to see the world burn. And all the discussion to explain the benefits of not burning the world, or its microcosms, such as this awesome little substrata of home arcading, won’t convince these folks to do otherwise. All you can do is lead by example, and you are. Continue talking about the facets of this community you cherish and enjoy, and the like minded will gravitate towards you, as they have, and leave the drama and negativity to the dramatically negative. When did the attacks start? When humans got involved. When you introduce multiple choice, opinions on each choice leads to attacks if said opinions aren’t shared. Can’t control it, but ya can control what you see and hear…which is why I don’t participate in social media beyond the RU-vids. The interwebs empowers those that most likely wouldn’t engage in a lot of this stuff face to face. Not to mention, drama (or dramady) is what attracts people more often than not. Tune it out. It’ll lower your bp lol.

There are people in this world who live for drama , conflict n problems . If there’s a few slow days they don’t know what to do with themselves n they start trouble . I just scroll past that crap now There are others who just ignore everything negative altogether , distance themselves and continue to make great content A lion does not concern itself with the opinions of the sheep

I❤Arcade1up and could care less about other products but I would never trash or humiliate another person for their likes/dislikes. I used to watch RU-vid a lot but companies are like celebs. We build them up and love to tear them down. I watch a lot less RU-vid but do love your channel b/c of your positivity. Keep your head up and enjoy yourself
So 1st awesome as always bro, drama, part of me enjoys since I haven't had a drink in 20 years and part of me hates it cause it interrupts arcade videos, on the plus I have found some new content creaters that I didn't know about, I own real and A1up and love my A1up just not sure why people blast people for liking other cabs, it's been fun drama for a little but more arcade talk and kumba ya or however you say it spell it 😂 Keep up the great videos and game on @HOME!!!
Anyone who has done their research should know exactly what they are buying. I have 6 titles for a fraction of what an original Star Wars, Joust, Tron, Tempest, Ridge Racer, or Golden Tee 3D would cost. Even full size new originals had their issues with controls, joysticks, and monitors. Know this because I played them all and spent many hours in arcades. Stop the Hate…or buy an original if that is the quality you are yearning for.

I believe some of this is for views. Some of it is they expect more for the price that’s being charged. I’ve invested in mods for my A1Us. Some are great some are so so. I’m not bashing anyone. Just go back to what suits you for game play. I made a mod to my Tron I dislike. Not bashing anyone. Just going to go back to what originally was installed.

This community and I am hesitant to call it that, is cannibalizing itself. Pretty sad to watch. There are a number of jackasses who are selfish and love to capitalize on others mistakes for personal glory. You’re being too humble in some of your responses to the drama queens in these comments. When we root for companies to fail, the end of this hobby is not far off. Apparently perfection is the cover charge now.
Always learning though; I don’t ever not want to be teachable because for me, that’s the end, especially in what I do. So listening is important. Conclusions may not be popular, but I’ll definitely listen and try and diffuse. Thanks for this again though…

@@nana-te5bp Attempting to see and seek out the good in everyone is not wrong and naive. I agree that at some point it starts to become passive aggressiveness but I think outrun has the ability to be assertive.
You make some good points, however a lot of the content creators in the home arcade space simply made there channels to promote the product and become shills. If you notice most of the people in the space your talking about created a yt channel after fall of 2018 and all there videos are about at games and arcade 1up. And most just copied what someone else is doing. Some don’t have any creativity or anything new because they are all carbon copies of someone or something else. The channel isn’t about them it’s simply about the product they buy. Basically they aren’t genuine. There are some who are but most aren’t. You asking them to do something that was never there true intentions when they started which is why some won’t speak negativity about an issue or company until it’s made completely relevant and there’s no choice but to agree with the majority
That definitely makes sense Adam. But at the end of the day, we all should try and focus on what we love; but that’s just my personal opinion obviously. Genuineness on social media is hard to gauge though.
@@outruntheneonsun everyone in this case loves arcades but if someone makes a video saying this is the best machine or arcade ever, and said content creator never played the original, missed valid points, communicated it sucks behind the scene in private, never understand the emulation, or fails to acknowledge the valid customer complaints it creates a problem.
@@outruntheneonsun Alot of content creators are in this space because they want attention and fail to do research and don’t wanna go against the grain. Yes disingenuous. None of these current guys are the original 1up content creators. Look at cool toy Ralph Glen and many others stop promoting them….

Or they can't because others have done it before them? Can they have a different perspective and want to talk about the positives of something, but because they were late to the game, they shouldn't play from your perspective? For example, I made a video on video games monthly; just because I loved the games I got and had a funny story about me being stupid. Does it make me disingenuous because so many people have already made content on video games monthly? I promise, and you can choose to believe if that is genuine or not, that I am not trying to be difficult but to dialogue here. Not trying to convince you of my opinion, but it's okay to disagree. I'm not picking on this channel. I'm posting this on multiple threads. Recently I unsubscribed from many of the home arcade channels I was on previously and tonight, I am unsubscribing to all of them. I'll come back from time to time if there is info I'm looking for, but for the most part, I am done with the subscriptions. I have a multitude of hobbies that range from gaming/VR to muscle cars to SCUBA diving to flying airplanes and then some, but damn, I have never seen any manufacturer get attacked on YT so much for trying to provide consumers with a fun product. You know who you are and you all need to calm the *uck down. Seriously. Give these people some breathing room. If you think you can do better, by all means, get out there and give it a shot.
Thanks Dani; understandable! Challenging drama with positivity isn’t the same as being dramatic; sort of like telling my son he did something wrong as opposed to his wrongdoing.
