None of them do. Paradox, the random stuff character has a randomly chosen past. The other probably has some sort of boss fight, but not a past per-say. @@malcolmw121

Technically Casey IS a gun. If yuu oh have cursed or battery bullets you see Casey shoots invisible short ranged bullets that if they hit the enemy gets “hit” by Casey

The 2018 update added a new loot profile (Gungeons and Draguns) that ups rewards and drop rates especially in earlier rooms to make the game more enjoyable Not every run is gonna be perfect but I can usually get to Floor 4 or further on most runs

My biggest issue is that you basically had to take no damage on earlier bosses if you wanted any chance of moving along, meaning if you were, as one might say, bad, it became stupid difficult to make any progress. But yea, I'll give it a go when the new update is out to really get the most of the game. The synergy system honestly looks super fucking cool as well.

@@ashedelta that's not really the case imo. I always want to go through damageless just cause of the extra heart container you get, but the game doesn't typically starve you of hearts. Plus rogue likes are kinda like that in the sense and you begin to realize that early bosses aren't even difficult and the more you play, the easier it is to get past them.

@@YvngXero Something irks me that good players get more safety while bad players don't. Binding of Issac did it better that if you don't take damage you get the option to take the risk of getting some crazy good items at the cost of hearts.

@@ashedelta I think Isaac is alone in thaf aspect, and while it's good balance, sometimes it's simply not worth it to trade in that extra item. It could be my monkey brain, but the short rush of adrenaline and dopamine from not getting hit in a really tough boss and then getting rewarded is enough satisfaction, I don't want to have to deal with thinking about whether I should sacrifice my max health because I did well. Imo the whole reward for not getting hit and being good is a byproduct, most of the replay value comes from unlocking 100s of new items, and you kinda just learn boss patterns as you go. If you love the gameplay, humor, and guns, I would honestly say to pick it back up and don't even bother focusing on the Master Rounds. After enough play, you kinda get a grasp on how each boss should be fought and even if you know the patterns, you still get hit. So even as a good player, you still make mistakes. You don't get cradled and on the other hand, you don't get starved for being a bad player either

Except all you have to do is use the sword to block bullets until the boss uses a predictable attack pattern you can take advantage of.

to be fair it is pretty meh for me because, it's good yes, but then I realize how good it is and *only* use Casey and get really cocky with it and die

It’s pretty mediocre, I mean against a couple enemies, it destroys them. Though when I fight bosses with Casey it doesn’t do anything, I feel like if I hit back any of the bosses bullets another hits me, but Casey is insanely good against a couple enemies.
