Heavier rounds for more stopping power!!! 8-10 g ..4 and under good for long distance but tend to curve way more out the barrel bc of the weight!! Found grimberg Julv's and CRB 9.9g work great with grim A5 barrel...but great video on the m17 destruction test
I know most prefer to use the 8 to 10 gram rounds but I've argued that 5 grams can be just as effective at high out put and probably saves on air for more shots. I would'nt wanna get hit with even 5 grams at that output especially anywhere near the face and neck. We underestimate what it does on a live target especially when you include shot cadence. Tho we call it less than lethal You will get severely maimed by well placed grouping.
Congrats on your mod!! Good job!! It's amazing what a lot of power will do with light affordable ammo. But if you get something heavier like grimburg juls, you might get a reading. Also, so you know, the MCS rounds are 4.6g they would be good and affordable and everybody disses on the 7g rubber steel but again, what that much power will do with...
I just finished LL4D's series on the M17 too and I've been debating on whether to do the reg delete. Between the two of you I'm sold. A Lot of trips to the paintball shop for refills though😦 Fabolous and fun as always my brother✌️
Do yourself a favor, buy the below "OrcAir" mini air compressor, currently $240. It is the one I have. It is slow, but I don't care because it is not like I'm filling HPA bottles every few days or so (everything on my armory wall is for self-defense: VKS; M17, MilSig M17; CQMF; all Umarex except that useless shotgun; TMC Elite; FSC; AEA HP .30 cal. Carbine; AEA HP SS Plus .30 cal. The compressor I recommend can handle the bottles on all these markers and airguns. That's what matters to me. This air compressor is turtle slow, but it beats using a high-pressure hand pump (which I also have because when the zombie apocalypse comes your want redundancy. This air compressor regardless of brand name has received positive reviews all over RU-vid. Note: This OrcAir is what you want. Other folks are selling it for upwards of $450. But wait, there's more: many sell the AC power supply SEPARATELY as an option, against extra charge, of course. On the OrcAir the AC power supply is included. That saves you $50. To find the one I have, search these words on Amazon: "PCP air compressor 4500psi 300bar powered by 12v DC or 110v AC with power supply included for paintball tank pcp airgun scuba mini tank;" be careful because like I said this exact model (or some with slight variations) is sold all over the Net, on Amazon, fleabay, etc., at widely varying prices and many under different brand names. Bonus Comment: Buy the "Orcair" because a portion of every sale goes toward reconstituting Dark Lord Sauron's Orc army, which when at full strength will commence kicking some hobbit and wizard ass.
Good looking out Morty! Sounds like a great deal and even being a slow filler would definitely pay for itself with all the refill charges and not to mention gas going to and from the paintball or scuba shop. Unfortunately I only have hand pump money 😂.
Bonus Comment: Grimburg is running a sale on its ammo. E.g., its HP68 round, which is an excellent hard-hitting high-velocity projectile, is 50 rounds for $25! 100 rounds for $35!!!! Hoof it on over there. IMO prices are fire sale low. Even though I have 50 rounds, I couldn't let those deals pass, so I bought another 100 of the HP68's. Now that I'm talking about em, I'm tempted to snap up another 100 because, well . . . just because (which in my book is the best damn reason to do anything).
With 2g rounds it’s going to put out real high FPS but you won’t have that energy. I know you know this lol get some grimburg v2 round balls or HP68’s both 686 bore they work AWESOMELY
Have you tried a Adjustable regulator that goes higher than 1100 psi?? Ive heard these m17's/ CQMF will handle much higher pressures.( like for example getting way over 500 fps with the aluminum balls,to over 600fps)
With mine and 3.7 gram nylon balls( prv delete, velocity stack delete,1100 psi ninja tank) ,with the factory 7" barrel im getting 470 fps,With my 13" barrel im getting 540 fps!! With aluminum 7.2 gram balls im only getting 387 fps( so regulator drill soon) AND ID Say these lower velocity numbers are because the ball is loose in the barrel,So bore/ barrel matching to projectiles used Is Absolutely A Must !!
These are 2.8 gram balls. You can find these on amazon for cheap. Past this in the search: 150 Pieces 68 Cal Paintballs Solid Balls 68 Breaker Balls Hard Nylon Paintball for Shooting Training Practice 💥💥💥
Great video!!!! tried to find the video on less lethal for dummies on the velocity stack delete couldn't find it. Is it possible you can upload the link. Thank you man god bless!!!
Excellent demo, and telling the newbies what all they need to do to hop this thing up to less-lethal standards. P.S. That chrono only goes up to 400 or 500 FPS (can't remember, which is sad because I have this one too). So your 2.8 gram rounds are not going to register. Perhaps others can chime in if it is how your holding it.
