You obviously couldn't see the future when you posted this, but now we know the Phillies just swept the Brewers while holding them to 2 runs across 3 games. In the same number of games the Yanks gave up 15, a difference that I think more than accounts for a difference in homefield advantage. On the other hand the Phils' bats are a bit chilly atm and the Yankees are running the board up like crazy, so I will absolutely give them that. IMO right now it comes down to whether the Yankees' insanely hot offense can hit off of any of Philly's four lights-out starting pitchers in Ranger, Wheels, Nola, or Sanchez. It's honestly just an Unstoppable force vs. an Immovable object. Both are tied for first in my mind until either one team starts to fall behind in the coming month or we just wait to see the series outcome in July.

@@Neotenico Yanks won't even win the east. Mark my words. The Orioles offense is easily just as explosive, if not more. And despite what people say, our pitching is extremely consistent and solid. And considering since Adley came up, and especially Gunnar came up, the Yankees have just not been able to do ANYTHING against the o's. Soto is always solid, but Judge is way too up and dow and however he does, really dictates the rest of the offense. With the Orioles tho, Gunnar can be a tad streaky at points, but Adley never slumps, and if Gunnar does, we have Mountcastle, Westburg, Santander, O'Hearn, Mateo has been great this year, Cowser has looked fabulous at points. The orioles in the long run are just too deep and have too much depth for the Yankees.

I'm heading down to Camden Yards to see them against my Phils next weekend. Last time I was down there I was like 4 years old so it'll be really nice to see it again. O's are a great team for sure and I'm really excited for the potential World Series preview (knock on wood).
