People can keep on sleeping on the Nats this year, the second James Wood gets called up and when CJ Abrams comes back they’re gonna be going for a playoff spot
Hopefully the Orioles this season will not choke a divisional series like last year. Yet again, there is some tough competition in both our neighbors, the Yankees, as well as our division foe, the Guardians.
Thank you for putting respect on the M's name. People are writing them off because their offense isn't the best. Maybe they aren't but the are also not inept, plus the best starting rotation in baseball and Munoz to close.
If the Mariners had at least an average-level hitting rotation, we’d be top tier for sure. We just fired our offensive coordinator and since then have scored 14 runs in two games, so here’s hoping we don’t trip and fall flat on our face when it counts.
For the Brewers, Ross on IL, Miley on IL(looks done for the year), DL Hall on IL, Woodruff on IL(won't pitch this year), and reliever Williams on IL (may be back for the stretch run, earliest after all star break) and yet 12 games above .500 as of today. How they are doing this, I don't know except for the fact that they were bottom 10 last year on the offensive side and this year top 10 offensive side. Guess they believed they had nothing to lose with how everyone said they would not make the playoffs. All this with a rookie manager.
Preseason, people seemed to just assume the Brewers would be bad this year and the Cardinals would be back on top of the division. It’s impressive what they’ve been able to do with the lineup and veteran pitching additions.
I think the Astros really will turn it around. They have one of the best hitting cores in baseball with Tucker, Altuve, Pena (who has put up a much better season than last year), and Meyers who has come up in a big way. The pitching has gotten hot as well. If the bats can just wake up, then I don't think many teams can stop them
I just think the AL is too stacked to start slow. If they were in the NL, Houston’s a playoff team all day. I think only one of the Astros and Rangers get in, and I personally have more faith in the Rangers.
I have a theory, MLB and Fanatics made a see through jersey for 2024, the Astros were still using buzzers, the see through jerseys would expose the buzzers so they stopped wearing them, they now suck because they are missing their precious trash cans and buzzers. I don’t see them improving anytime soon.
It felt like they had such a great start to the season. I was surprised to see how bad their record was when it felt like every starter was putting up a quality start.
Not hating, it’s a good video, but Wade Miley is out for the year with an injury and Joe Ross is also injured, it’s been the bullpen and offense keeping the Brewers in first, our starting pitching is either bad, a rookie, or injured 😂
Honestly I’d say the entire 4th tier, Tampa, Boston, Cincinnati, Pittsburgh, and San Francisco are all better teams than St. Louis, so I don’t know what he was smoking when he made that decision.
@@OhioOwns as I said in the video, I like the Guardians! But they’ve had the second weakest strength of schedule in baseball and I think it’d be audacious to think they’re in the same category as the Dodgers.
The fact the Dodgers are leading the west is not really a factor right now. The second place team is the 32-30 Padres. Giants, Diamondbacks and Rockies are all sub .500, so being on top of that isn't much of an accomplishment. I think they're no higher than the 3rd or 4th best team. With possibly the Orioles over them, on top of the obvious two. Because the Yankees and Phillies have objectively been the class of the league so far. I don't know the Phillies numbers as well, but the Yankees have an insane combination going. Leading the league in ERA and OPS, top 5 in batting average, number one in walks while having the 7th fewest strikeouts. Having 4 starters with a sub 3 ERA during two months where your ace and reigning Cy Young winner hasn't thrown a single pitch. The back and forth between NY and Philly will be a lot of fun this summer. And I'm not discounting other teams making runs. Dodgers are a great team, so are the Orioles. Hard to keep thinking Cleveland is a fluke. Braves have lost Acuna and won the World Series once already, so can they be counted out? This is shaping up to be a fantastic season with one of the best post seasons in a while.
This is definitely shaping up to be an amazing season! I feel like everyone groans at the idea of a Yankees Dodgers WS, but I do think it’d be electric.
Hurts but true for my Pirates. I had such confidence in them early in the season but that's quickly changed around. Still watch all their games and of course I am over the moon about Skenes. So I'm a pirates fan but I live in Michigan. I'm shocked you didn't put the Tigers in Not Even Trying. They are god awful offensively and they have done nothing to even attempt to help that out.
I think the Tigers had goals of competing for the playoffs preseason. Several veteran additions to the pitching staff, I think they were hoping for more from their young hitters.
@@99PotentialYT you actually do make very good points! I completely agree with that. Thanks for responding and explaining your thought process! Keep up the great work! I love what you’re doing
pirates are a big offseason away from contention though. Skenes and Jones is a great 1-2 and the lineup just needs a few pieces to surround Hayes, O’neil etc.
You’re gonna put the LA Dodgers first are you serious? The Yankees or the Phillies should be number one and number two then it’s the Dodgers and then it’s everybody else
@@99PotentialYT I think the Nats def are, with how they whole playoff picture looks in the NL, i think both these teams realize they could do smt, even the Pirates, Jones and Skeenes have rlly put are charge in them
@@DanielMattil preseason projections had this team losing 100 games, and I don’t think they’ve done anything to indicate they’re trying to win this year. Hope they prove me wrong though! CJ Abram’s would be electric in the post season.
You have the Phillies as your World Series favorites right now? If I just ranked them based on win percentage it would defeat the purpose of doing a ranking. They’ve had the weakest strength of schedule in baseball and I personally don’t think they’ll end the season with the best record.
