Can we take a moment to appreciate how he didn't even prototype something before trying to enter as long as that guarantees a world record? That's what I call dedication! :3
For the speedrun he modified his personality at birth to be a Time Player, Guarantying that he can finish the run by traveling back in time after entering the medium and prototyping the sprite. Later after the denizen is defeated and he gets the bad ending he goes into new game + and modifying his personality AGAIN to be a space player. Then with weird computery shit he transfers both saves to a different computer and continues the game fooling it into believing there were 2 players this entire time. Skaianet really released this game too early.
This is freakin' fantastic. For 480 views, you modeled out the entire Egbert house, complete with every item actually needed to enter the Medium, and followed the process to a T, and just. Holy crap, the effort. I wish there were more Homestuck fans so this could blow up.
Imagine if a bunch 13 year old speedrunners actually played sburb. Like being a dersite citizen was like yall just chilling thinking your kids are cooler then suddenly they just woke up, killed a bunch of dersite, killing the derse royalties by doing some weird shi with the perfectly generic cube, before initiating the destruction of prospit themselves, all in less than 2 hours
omg the perfectly generic cube would absolutely have some weird ass properties you could fuck with to glitch the game out and complete the game in like an hour
I dont like sburb done quick because they use glitches before entering the game itself, thats bad. The whole homestuck thing is about changing reality, but they just make it so reality is already a game with glitches, which is not true.
@@CrabO2its not meant to be that serious. youre allowed to dislike something for any reason, but that doesnt immediately mean the thing you dislike is bad
@@gaIIowsCaIibrator I said before that bugs that involve captchaloguing is fine, but the glitched the literal door. If I remember there was an argument in sburb done quick that "doors are always glitchy in games" but like... the entire point of sburb is that it is a game that works WITH reality, not a game inside a game. I mean it kinda is if you consider meta elements of homestuck, but at the same time it should be reality to the characters inside of comics, even if their future self somehow told them that it isnt real.
i have been exactly +3 hours listening to this audio while sending to my friend, who is not a homestuck fan, all the exact words, phrases, flashes and images that appear in act 1, 2, and 3, and i gotta say this has been an experience i can strangely relate to this video
this shit is world record material?? despite the very clear mistakes and places for improvement?? the homestuck speedrunning community needs to get its shit together.
Amat3ur. His routing was compl3t3ly off. With a bit mor3 practic3 you'll b3 abl3 to do it as soon as you load th3 gam3 through th3 M3dium glitch. Som3thing about ov3r-writing th3 cod3 or what3v3r.
Congrats on the run and a well deserved WR. I think there's potential for an even faster strat using entity cramming recoil hyperspeed. But right now it's unproven whether the hyperspeed can even be properly redirected upwards to launch you towards the portal that spawned the meteor, with known speed redirection methods.
Yknow, they couldve used the Perfectly Generic Object Superjump (also known as p-gos by some idk) to get to the second floor quicker. It's a few miliseconds, but it's still a good timesave.
