In today's Geoguessr Explained video, I'm once again on the grind towards the #1 spot in the world. Let's see how high we can push, and whether top 10 is actually in our grasp! Main Channel: / @zi8gzag
Geoguessr is wild. Sometimes you recognise the grass in some random city in Asia, and other times you lose on a loc a few km from where you live... Oh, and you wondered what Bukit means in Malaysia in another video. It's "hill", which isn't all that helpful in a not-flat country.
10:24 this spot gave me so hard palawan vibes too, with that half concrete road and that kinda red soil, i was there and the roads and everything looks exactly like this, with that cut off concrete road, i would insta send palawan. In fact it was not palawan i would guess there all the time, the infrastructure is so poor there, we got stuck multiple times with our motorbikes, because these fucked up roads, so pretty resonable. Good Video gooo for that number 1. much love from germany
These guys are so good and get so focused on meta that they don't even read. Billboard said Fortaleza, ma man guessed around the area just based off meta and vibes
17:00 Rounds like these are super impressive.. Almost no meta, looks like it could be anywhere adjacent to the equator, but you just kept narrowing it down to the correct place
Kinda funny how there seems to be quite a bit of overlap between the CS and Geoguessr communities lol If i remember right you have come from CS aswell, and that "Spirit Donk" alt acc is a reference to one of the best players in CS atm.
Can anyone tell me what map is used in Duels? On mobile I'm pretty sure it's just World, but when I play on the website it feels more like ADW or ACW, literally sometimes feels like ARW compared to mobile..
As someone from the dc area, I'm always surprised to hear you say DMV because that's pretty local slang, where'd you pick it up? I also find it fascinating that the rounds I incorrectly think are around there are almost always different from the ones you do. Great video and keep up the good work, looking forward to the rest of the series :)
I've been using (and investing in) Geovision AI and it's been really good. They plan to have a contest with some Geoguessrs soon. Can't wait to see who wins!
The first five minutes he talks about a yellow filled-in sign and a white border on the sign. I don't SEE the sign. Is he playing on a giant ultra-giga-resolution screen?
your screen could possibly be smaller, but also remember that screen recording and uploading could marginally decrease video quality. play geoguessr is more high-res than watching it second hand.
@arrowheaded Yes, I am probably losing a bit in up-and-download recompression. I'm watching in 1080p. Noticed he could read smaller letters than me, too. I guess if the screen is big and good enough, you can see most of what Google has to offer without zooming?
Was genuinely confused about why Oscar kept talking about "jewels" until I finally realized it was "duels". Not sure why that happened with this video and not any other previous one.
This is the second person I have seen mishearing it as jewels. You are not alone, but also the screen says DUELS after every round, and jewels doesn't make any sense(???)
"Really they should just reduce the HP and then reduce the Multis" - exactly, yes. Those with the most common sense know this to be the case. I've been advocating it since the World Cup, but the Geoguessr Devs didn't listen to me...
