This display includes matchless stars, bubble lights, candoliers, Shiny Brite, 1950s plastic santas, Glolite trees, mirostar candolier, bottle brush trees and wreaths, trains, bells, and other great vintage ornaments.
Here in the UK, Woolworths used to be my favourite store, especially in the run-up to Christmas. I still miss it, especially in December, and even now, many years after its demise. I can get very emotional when I remember the store, which was a such a big part of my childhood.
We or the neighbors had a lot of what you see here. We always had big balsam trees from Nova Scotia. We first had C-6's and then in about 1956 we went over to C-7 1/2's. There were like 9 windows with red cellophane electric wreaths and two paramount 9 lamp plastic candelabras with C-6's in the two large downstairs windows. We also had smaller real and artificial lit trees elsewhere in the house. Its wonderful to see some of these items again after 50 years. Thanks for posting.....
