I’ve went thru the same thing. They wanted me to pay higher deposit that they thought would’ve made me decline the rental. When I agreed, they wanted me to use my insurance and their insurance. I agreed. Then they attempted to give me a smaller car that my luggage wouldn’t fit in and not the SUV that I reserved. When I asked about the SUV outside I was told it was scheduled for maintenance. The maintenance guy heard the exchange and said that the maintenance was done the day before. He was drowned out with Corp lies. I left, went to enterprise 5 miles away and they booked me the SUV but they had to get it from a nearby location. Guess what location they got the SUV from?
Even the cop knew she was full of it. It’s crazy how ppl are always saying “you can’t record me without my permission” then they in return pull out their phone and starts recording that person without their permission lol.
It's not a private business; they are a public transportation service. If they were private, they need a membership process and insurance to cover - which it doesn't, hence why they charge you additionally for coverage and liability. DUH.
Cop: "do you have the bmw" Lady: "I do but I'm not giving it to him" Cop: "what's the reason behind this?" Lady: "the reason behind this is because he's extremely rude" Clearly this lady picked a wrong profession
@Eclipse 3g03 Yes but her reason was petty. Refusing to rent a car because a customer is rude isn't a good enough reason. Employees who deal with the public are usually trained on how to deal with rude customers. Now the company has to deal with a lawsuit because she didn't know how to properly address the situation. She will probably be fired.
An employee of Walmart recently got fired. Here is the story. I walked into Walmart to shop for jeans for a DIY project. This worker starts following me and i can notice her but i choose to ignore and keep on shopping. When i was done, i walked to the counter and started paying. Then something surprising happened, she stood in front of the the till and watched me (hawk eyes) as i swiped my card and got my stuff bagged. I already knew the situation but again i remained calm. I got home then got back to Walmart cause i got a larger size jeans, and she was on the phone at the till. She was speaking to management as i would later learn. A co-worker told me she got fired because management had seen the entire incident on camera and questioned her actions. I'm a black male and the employee was Indian. Indian, the same people who have experienced similar situations. I think that once anybody feels they are not be targeted by society, they start targeting others. Funny situation.
@@lickalotlickalot2210 I grew up as a low-income minority and have formed my opinion about Cops based on my own personal experiences, decades before BLM. Not all people of this country grow up in the suburbs where cops, if any, are courteous and greet you when they pass by. Never committed a crime yet I have been harassed and detained in handcuffs twice.
Female employee had a sense of entitlement. She forgot she was paid to assist customers There is an available BMW but "I am not going to give it to him" that BMW is not yours LOL It's your employer's car and you can only refuse to rent it IF Enterprise requirements to rent a car are not met
She can refuse to give the bmw because it could have been reserved already I worked for enterpise I always had customers like him without reservation and asking for cars outside that were ready for people with reservation and at the same time rude
@@1815jazmine The video seemed to indicate it was available though. And does she have authority to refuse him service and tell him to leave? If she is not a supervisor or manager, I doubt it.
@@MisterMikeTexas I've worked with Enterprise and I can tell you the problem is with corporate and regional managers. They promise so much to customers and let the people on the ground suffer the consequences. What do I mean!? The reservation system is typically independent from the branch actual count. Only the regional manager or higher can monitor the reservation system and cut off if there's no availability. And this is where the problem starts. A customer goes online makes a reservation expecting to have the vehicle on site at the branch when they get there only to find out the vehicle is not even available and they have to be called back or wait while the branch manager in training starts calling around to find any branch that has the vehicle available. And it's worse on the weekends since the people monitoring the booking system are off for the weekend and most branches are either closed. Also most people who rent tend to bring back vehicles after hours and since they are already on a rental it's not courteous to call them and demand the vehicle back when due because most customers also tend to extend their contracts. So the vehicle you might have expected today might not be available for another 2 days. A lot of burden is put on the managers in training and from the video you can tell how frustrating it can be. She mentioned she had been busy running up and down which I can attest happens everyday at a busy location. Now for her being racist well it could be but we need more collected evidence to validate that but from what I could tell from the video this is was a person who had reached the edge and not necessarily by the black customers but collectively as things were not going her way for a smooth operation. I quit Enterprise for this sole reason. They are more focused on profits but not on efficiency or customer experience nor employee welfare because this is mental fatigue if you have to deal with customers and have to lie to them everyday.
@@dallasdandy6276 Enterprise claimed my mother was responsible for damage to a car she returned. She let them have it and they quickly waived the charges! I once got charged the rate for an intermediate but the "intermediate" was a crappy PT Cruiser, which was really a compact with a weak 4 cylinder! I hated that car and was glad to turn it in! Ultimately, didn't this man get the Bimmer? I think the police sided with him.
@@RealMcLovin Ya, he planned to control the women to act the way she did because he is God I guess by your account? I hope for your sake that it is a tasteless and a not funny joke.
Without the fuller picture we cannot know that. She arguably IS the "owner" of that retail space at the moment. Arguing with her whether she is or not in the moment will go nowhere good. Document as best as you're able, and leave. Take your business elsewhere, and pursue it through proper channels with Corporate Office if you're so inclined. Remember, he didn't bother recording yesterday's interaction, and only turned on his vid recorder when it serviced his needs. Chances are excellent Enterprise has a full recording of both days. Remember also that the mainstream news media has a vested interest in using fractured ideological nararatives and disingenuous framing to inflame the emotions of their audience.
The cops started questioning her 😂 even the cop was like, "what's your reason?" Cops have probably rented from there on vacation times/families etc.. and knew their rules better than that worker
Did the story ever say he phoned ahead and reserved one? And even if you do, there is still no business contract until you go in and sign for it and/or put money on it. And even then if it's "just a deposit", you will likely find they reserve the right to return the deposit for a myriad of reasons. Hey, they're offering the service and taking most of the risk! This era of entitlement has people forgetting this.
Sometimes minorities are their own worst enemies towards one another. A spanish woman discriminating against a black man. Years ago, I worked for Southern Bell on Miami Beach. My Spanish friend and I decided to grab a quick meal at a Cuban restaurant nearby. We ordered the food. But, prior to it arriving, my friend told me to get up, let’s leave. Apparently, the Cuban waitress was saying derogatory things in Spanish about black people and she was hurt by it. I thanked her for taking me out 0f that environment.
Hahaha, Hispanics in Miami think that they are white and you would be surprised that they don't like black people just as much as most white people. They think white people will accept them if they treat black people like that. It's almost like trying to impress white folks
This has happened to me before. A rental car agent was either trying to hold a car for a friend, or wanted to void my rental in order to charge more for it since it was an extremely busy holiday weekend. After calling customer service, they called the same store and my car magically turned up. Funny because it's one way in and out and I was outside the entire time on the phone meaning that car was there the whole time. Just funny business going on with that employee.
So she says she has the vehicle that he wants to rent but isn’t going to give it to him. The police can’t even believe what she’s saying because he steps back like WTF.
This has been going on a very long time at Enterprise Car Rental! I am a former employee and watched it happen to black people almost daily when i worked for them. I am happy they finally got caught...more people should come forward!
@@ttownsupreme2183 I guess they can get away with discriminating against black people since blacks only represent 12% of the population however they would be out of their minds if they were also discriminating against hispanics.. especially in places like Texas, California, Florida and so on where they represent more than 50% of the population.
He waited three+one hours and she expected him to wait more hours behind new customers? I partially blame enterprise. These rental companies sold a bunch of their cars last year and don't have anything to rent. Their margins are tight and they always have one or at most three workers managing each branch. They will settle esp if he recorded enough. They probably already fired her.
He ain't getting s*** this a****** was probably down there for spring break I'm a local and I couldn't get a f****** rental.. all he going to get is banned from Enterprise
Because Blk men aren’t suppose to drive a nice car even if it’s a rental. If Blk ppl have ANYTHING that’s “nice” we are questioned & accused of doing something nefarious to have it. Now wldn’t that get old, & frustrating to you non black people, wouldn’t it. Well then....

Wow this is INSANE!!..as a Black large man I have rented from Enterprise repeatedly without issue. Three months at a time for a year. Never was treated inhumanly. Sad.
Wow! It's just so difficult for me to imagine what it must be like living with such deep hatred for and fear of another human being without any real legitimate reason other then their physical appearances.
My mother in law and myself are hispanics and we had the same thing happen to us twice in Texas. I complained and got corporate office number called but no one ever called me back. This enterprise company is so unprofessional.
Something does not smell right about this. Anyone can easily go on line to reserve a car. There is no need to sit and wait for three hours, as this man claimed.
I use to work for this company and can tell you they do profile customers and charge different rates trying to upsell. The employees are forced to bc its basically required to get promoted. Then when they are caught doing it by regulars who know how it work they try to play dumb. They train you to literally manipulate each customer to get the most money out of them.
This is what a hotel did with my father in Tennessee while we were driving from Kansas City. The parking lot was empty. Lesson: Book your reservations or car rentals online through Hotwire, Expedia or Kayak ahead of time so that they can’t deny you. And it’s cheaper.
I’m a Enterprise customer, When I go out of town, I’ve been to Phoenix and I’ve been to Miami even that one on South Beach maybe the one in this story we’re talking about and I’ve never had a problem with Enterprise. Next time I go to Miami/South Beach, Lord willing, that’s where I plan on renting from. I hope that doesn’t happen to me. I’ve had good experiences with Enterprise and I would hate for this to happen to me. It’s too bad that one employee because of a bad attitude and nasty disposition can make the whole company look bad.
This is typical treatment of how some, not all, but quite a few South Florida Hispanic treat black folks whenever they are in charge or have any Authority or power
@sapphire catherine cherrypop If you are a Miami Hispanic or Latino you would clearly understand without a denial or trying to pass the blame some things you just have to own it
Most of them hypocrite voted for Trump...lol. for them it's less competition. If blk people thought like other races we'd have more influence and respect
Gee .... I wonder when said customer started "being rude"..?? Maybe sometime in the 3 hrs he waited for a car that was not being RENTED TO HIM?!? Smh.... Fire her now!! And charge her for calling 911 for a Racist BS reason.
@@ForeverFebruary27 We've all seen officers treat customers like criminals in situations like this. Granted things are not always as obvious as the circumstances here. The woman admitted she was wtihholding the car for no legit reason! 🤦🤦

But I believe his gut instinct was correct about what was going on. I hope he gets compensated for this discrimination. He did not deserve this treatment and he deserved to be rented a car.
I needed to rent a car for a couple days one time, because I had plenty running around to do and cab service was just not going to cut it… imagine the setback he may have experienced because this woman denied him rental of a vehicle.. crazy.
It's a private business, they can refuse service to whomever they want. There is no evidence of racism here, just an employee not taking crap from an aggressive and antisocial customer.
@@Thinks-First man please as long as he is a paying customer, has money to pay for he wants and what he wants is available that is not her job to decide who gets what's.

I think because he waited for 3 hours or more and others did not. Is where he got triggered and became bothered and rude with her. At that point she then felt the need to deny him access to the rental car. That is where the recording and insults began. Just my theory.
@@coolmacatrain9434 I am looking at what we were both presented with in the evidence. The lense you choose to look at it through is a biased one. Which in turn is showing you're prejudice bias.

What i stated was the gentleman waited for hours obviously. I even highlighted that he may have been rude to the woman which triggered both parties. My theory was simply that when one comes in to an establishment such as a rental business, depending upon if you have made a reservation or not. Your experience can either be quick or a bit long depending on inventory or the wait period. She never stated to the man why she was refusing to serve him in a timely manner until the cops were called. Even the COPS were confused when they got there as to why she was refusing to rent the man a vehicle. Weather her feelings are hurt or not she has a job to do, and if she felt disrespected she should have told the man the reason and refuse him service. Which Enterprise gives their employees the right to do. Enterprise does not give you the right to prejudice or racist to a customer.
This sounds routine for enterprise rent a car. Years ago I reserved an suv for my family to travel out of town for a family member funeral. When we got to the office to pick up the suv we were denied the suv "cause Hispanic people steal them and take them to Mexico". I was furious at the accusation and the idiot behind the counter. I immediately called enterprise headquarters and informed them of the situation. They did apologize for the incident and arranged for a smaller suv. We accepted the smaller suv as we had to get to the funeral. I have not and never will rent another vehicle from them. Let your money speak for you, boycott the facilities that condone this type of behavior.
There are two sides to every story but if you're going to call the police that means you fear for your life/safety. Now its a legal issue. I work customer service too and get rude clients of all colors and have been accused of being racist myself on a few occasions when something didn't go the way the customer wanted but thankfully it gets cleared up once I bring their concerns to management. We always take those comments very seriously as it can get easily misunderstood
@@Thunderbyrd. That's what came to mind, like has this employee always denied service to black customers? If so, then yes she's racist. If not, then its not fair for the person who filmed to use the race card and accuse someone of being racist and he should reflect on his actions as well, that can cost her the job.
Not to worry he hit the black lottery and soon will not need Enterprise any longer, BMW or better for him now on. May he can pick you up, but don't count on it.

Why do employees (mostly female ones) feel the need to act like they own the store and the products sold there. If the customer wants the BMW and is willing to pay for it then who are you to say he can't have it? It's not the employee's car and they are there to process the customer's info and hand him the keys. Done.
In Chicago, I've been rented an Enterprise car with expired plates and was stopped twice in the course of returning it at the end of the day. When I informed the attendant, I was not charged for the rental and given a ride to the train station, all of which I appreciated. However, one of the stops was embarrassing because it happened at the height of the rush hour and the plain clothes cops were loud and aggressive and one had his gun drawn when he approached the passenger's side window. Since that, I have stopped renting from Enterprise.
I rent from Enterprise everytime I travel. I make my reservation online when I arrive go to the counter they check me in 10 minutes out the door never a problem
Alamo refused to rent me a car because I did not have proof of a round trip ticket. I flew one way to that destination, so how was I supposed to produce a RT ticket?
Did he have a reservation ? It's not clear but if he had a reservation, than he's in the right. if it was a walk in then not so, but if they had cars available and with the other reservation why not rent it. I'm sure their's more to this story than what we are seeing. And who in the hell wait 3hours for a car at a rental place ?
@Mark Aim he did not have reservation or even attempted to make one. He just wanted a car right away. He kept coming back and even if he had to wait 1-3 hours , he was rude - just listen to him recording the ordeal. Being nice to others help a lot .
Enterprise is a horrible company to deal with. I booked a mini van for a trip I was planning ( 4 weeks in advance ) I confirmed my rental one week in advance. On the day of pick up they had none and told me I was put on a waiting list with 49 people ahead of me. I will NEVER do business with this company EVER again.
That had been done to me. Instead of a Hyundai Elantra, I got a Volkswagen Jetta, another occasion I got a Chrysler convertible. You are young once, so go out and enjoy life.
I had the same problem a while back at the Corpus Christi Airport. I had a reservation for a rental car at Enterprise. I was coming home because I worked out of state. I got to the counter and the Enterprise agent told me that they were out of cars 🚗. I went to the Enterprise parking lots at the airport and it was full of cars. I told the agent that I have just checked their lots and there were cars in there. She told me that those cars were reserved for other people. Now, I am convinced that the woman was discriminating against me. I called my wife at home who was just 30 minutes away and told her what happened. My wife is light skin. I told her to make make a reservation on her name and include an extra driver. Then she drove to the Airport to pick up the car. Remember, she could have picked me up and took me home. She got to Enterprise counter and the same Caucasian lady asked her who was the other driver. She said a "friend" of hers. The Enterprise agent finished all the paperwork and gave her the car key. My wife handed me the car key. The agent was stunned but I reminded her that she had no car and the other cars in the parking lot were reserved. Then my wife told her that the person that she discriminated against is a Project Engineer on a multi billion dollars project. I told my wife that she rather not tell her that and I prefer the anonymity. She did apologize as we were leaving. I stopped renting from Enterprise since.
She's going to die with the LIE. Damn her story changed, went in the back to drink some more of that Hater-Ade and call Uncle Guiliani for some advice.
I had the same issue (not race) at a FLL State Rd location near the airport. They said they were waiting on someone to return to give me a reserved car because mine was given away due to my flight delay. Two hours later, I went back to the airport and had a nice car in minutes from a no-name company. Got there right before they sold out.
This is typical of enterprise i experience this all the time in Vancouver and Portland Oregon. I stopped renting from them and moved over to Hertz....its sad but it is very true and a real thing at enterprise..
but she would be the very same person to claim, "I'm not racist, it's just certain people I don't like...oops... I mean they are rude for coming in here.
I worked at enterprise for years and as a black woman it was one of the most demoralizing jobs I’ve ever had. There’s the frat boy culture. Being told by a manager to use my looks to sell coverage. Being encouraged by leadership to sneakily selling coverage that customers don’t need. being screamed at for hours by customers over things you can’t control. Have managers make me deny certain customers for looking “sketchy”….sketchy usually meaning POC, or unkempt. They hire in colleges because the kids are too young to know that they’re being overworked for very little money and they’re going to have to throw their morals out the door. I hated the person i was becoming in that job, left, and never went back. Im SO MUCH happier now.
Well if you've seen Miami these days it's damn near packed with tourists,I'm sure he would've love to patronize another company but probably couldn't because they were booked and remember he said that he was there for almost 3 hours.I belive him because enterprise is known for that in the state I live in didn't know that's their mo in other states.
But to ignore it means it’s gonna keep happening to other people , when something like that happens and you take action you will be saving to next person from being discriminated against
