There is accessibility to this exhibit via audio description for many of the films and kiosk contents and wayfinding. I hope a lot of people in the community of people with visual impairments.

It was not as described. The exhibit is really about wokeness, not entertainment. Every single part of the exhibit is trying to recast the US as having been all for diversity and pro minority rights in the past, really it is horrid, a lame attempt to rewrite history.

Well that can't be right because recasting the U.S as having been all for diversity and pro-minority rights in the past is the direct antithesis to what wokeness is. Currently, wokeness is the acknowledgement and alertness to current discrimination which happens and how history influences our present to create such conditions. What this exhibit shows which you are probably getting confused about is the progress the United States has made in terms of it's diversity, equity, and inclusion culture through the lens of entertainment. That's not rewriting history, because acknowledging discrimination which still lingers doesn't undercut the progress we have already made.

@@mostfunnestchannel Can you give me an example of what you're talking about? Because looking at images and even the fine print of many of those exhibits online, I don't see what's so bad. And even so, what you're describing is not wokeness. The way you're using it is literally a buzzword created by right wing media to demonize diversity, equity, and inclusion culture. If anything, the exhibit so far is more in line with what I said in how it goes about talking about people of color and others in the entertainment industry, IE showing the progression of the rights and cultural equality of minority groups through entertainment. That isn't rewriting any history.

@@taiwandxt6493 wokeness is a dangerous political extreemist movement with deep tones of racism. No, trying to hide or change the history of the US is in no way helping anything. The online photos don't show the real exhibit, the Smithsonian is misleading people about the exhibit and what it shows.
