He's a criminal fighting on the side of Outworld. 0:45 Scorpion is not on the side of Earthrealm either. He's fighting on his own side (being a resurrected hellspawn he technically is fighting for the Netherrealm, being considered a wild card in the tournament). Killing Sub-Zero was not a plot twist, in fact that's the whole reason why he entered the tournament! 0:58 Oh my god! Shao Kahn had nothing to do with the first game! Shang Tsung was the boss in that one! (sure, he was working for Kahn, but that was only revealed in MK2) I mean what was the source for your video, your own imagination?? I guess so, since that thing about Kahn changing the rules "so he gets to fight the last battle" is entirely made up! Maybe you meant that in the second tournament he bends the rules on his favour, and then in the third one he basically breaks them by invading Earth, but that has nothing to do with him being able to "fight the last battle". 1:41 "Sonya goes apeshit?" what is that even about? Oh, you mean that she kills Kano? Well, first he doesn't really die, he's revealed in MK: Deadly Alliance to have been saved by Sheeva (get it? He's a bad guy!), second *that was her goal the whole time!* (GET IT? HE'S A BAD GUY!) I mean maybe her goal was to arrest him rather than kill him, but still they were enemies the whole time. Also a minor thing: that's not a big plot point, that's just Sonya's sub-plot, why did you even mention this. 1:57 Why did you decide to invent the story of why Johnny Cage was resurrected? It's kinda shady in the game (many MK4 bios are messed up and unclear), but in the game it's simply stated that Johnny's soul asked Raiden help to restore his body. The Elder God's role is minimum, in fact they're mostly known for their non-interferance throughout the series. 2:17 Wait, you're moving on to MK Armageddon? No wonder you take pride in telling the whole story in 3 minutes, you skipped two whole games! (MK Deadly Alliance and MK Deception) 2:17 sorry, but this a double entry. The Elder Gods didn't create the rule of the first to defeat Blaze will get great powers, that was done by the god protector of Edenia Argus, and it was a plan to prevent Armageddon... ARMAGEDDON! That's a foundamental plot point you don't mention! We're trying to prevent the total destruction of all realms! Instead you don't even mention why there should be this fight to get the "unconditional power". 2:31 again, you're skipping one MAJOR plot point. It's true that at the end only Raiden and Shao Kahn remained... But Shao Kahn won! He was the one remaining at the end, he was about to smash Raiden with his hammer, that's why Raiden sent the message back. Why would have he done that otherwise? 2:40 Did you gloss over MK9, the most story-heavy game in the franchise by just saying "They fucked it up even more"? Well, not only that's shameful, but it's also not true! Sure, most Earthrealm warriors end up dead, but they manage to destroy Shao Kahn for good! The message was "He must win", meaning that they should have let Shao Kahn win and by doing that he infringed the tournament rules and his very soul was consumed by the Elder Gods, removing him from existence altogether. The Earthrealm warriors sacrificed themselves to achieve this, it wasn't a waste of lives! 2:42 "Most of the Earthrealm warriors end up dead or turned evil by Quan Chi" If you mean some end up dead while others end up turned evil then you missed the point. Those that died then were resurrected evil. Also I hope this is not supposed to be a summary of MKX... (I know it was just released when you made this video.) Minor errors: 0:06 They're called "Earthrealm", "Netherrealm" and "Chaosrealm", not simply "Earth", "Nether" and "Chaos". I mean, I get the point, they're all realms, but in those cases "Realm" is part of the name. Just like "Outworld" has "World" in its name, while they're all worlds, it's not simply called "Out"; also the order realm is called "Seido". This is minor, since maybe you didn't want to show the name of the realms, but only a description. Also technically the MK Universe is made of many more realms (for example Reptile's world and Nitara's world), these are only the six major ones, but who cares. 0:34 Even ignoring the sides they're fighting on, that number six would be wrong, since MK9 reveals that other earthrealm fighters, beside the original MK1 ones, entered the tournament, such as Nightwolf, Cyrax and Sektor. 0:43 You mispronounced "Kano". I didn't noticed it at first, since that's how it's pronounced in italian, but yeah, the official pronounciation is different. However maybe the mispronounciations where sopposed to be a joke, given that you also say Sanya Blade, and I don't know how you can get that freaking wrong. 1:09 You showed the roster of MK1 again for the second tournament, while Sonya and Kano were not in that game (I know who cares, but think about it, it would have been cooler to quickly show the MK2 characters in the tower) 1:27 Shao Kahn doesn't successfully merges the realm, the merge only starts, the Earthrealm warriors are able to stop and revert it by winning the tournament. Little difference. 1:31 I can see that you still put on Raiden's side all fighters originally from Earthrealm, like Kano and Scorpion once again, which is wrong. Thankfully you didn't do the roll call or I would have considered this a major error. 1:44 Johnny Cage died at the start of the invasion, BEFORE the tournament. In fact he's not in MK3 (he's only temporarily resurrected in MKTrilogy, but the canonicity of that game is arguable). 1:50 Shinnok didn't team up with Quan Chi at this point, they were already long time allies, but whatever. 2:13 "Whatever this thing is" Yeah. What is it? Is it Batman doing drugs? Why? Should it be a joke? Well it has nothing to do with Mortal Kombat, so the joke is pointless. It's like jokingly saying "Ooh! Sonic is stupid because it has headless demons in it!" Maybe you were referring to MKvsDCU, but that only came afterwards. 2:20 it's a pyramid, it's not a tower. A forgivable slip. 2:26 People are not brought back to life to fight, that wouldn't make sense since we're trying to kill as many kombatants as possible and have only one remain at the end. Some possibly decided to come back from the dead to try and get the power though, so whatever. Additionally, beside Deadly Alliance and Deception, you also didn't mention Mythologies: Sub-Zero, which is canon, but yeah, I know, it's a minor entry in the series, and Mortal Kombat vs DC Universe, which is a main entry in the series, but yeah, I know, it's not canon. You also didn't mention Special Forces and Shaolin Monks, but they're minor entries with the former only arguably canon and the latter not canon, so I get it. Still, this should have been a recap of the "Franchise", you didn't say a recap of the storyline, so technically you should have talked more about its influence in the gaming industry, you could have mention the movie and stuff like that, but whatever. It's just the wrong title to a bad video, who cares. One last major problem: Nothing out of this was funny. I mean "Kano: think Mad Max" What? Why should Mario fight Goombas? To save the princess. Why should Solid Snake infiltrate a base? To destroy the Metal Gear. Of course gameplay comes first but the plot gives an additional motivation and adds a layer of fun, ESPECIALLY in a fighting game, since that's by definition a more repetitive kind of game. *Any game could work without a plot, so if you say it doesn't matter in MK, then it doesn't matter in any video game franchise, and seeing that all your videos are about the plot of video games it would make yours a completely useless channel!!* I'm out.

Wait, wait, wait. Shao Kahn was not in the original Mortal Kombat. Shang Tsung was the final battle--Kahn was merely the Emperor overseeing the tournament. In the sequel, Kahn decides to take matters into his own hands and bargains for Earthrealm in a final battle to which he will be the final opponent. He had to convince Earthrealm to take his offer. Scorpion and Kano were never for Earthrealm, as was the original Sub Zero. Raiden himself was not for Earthrealm either--Raiden was only there to prove everyone else sucks and in his ending, he takes over Earthrealm and places his own conquest of the realms. Liu Kang is actually the first leader of Earthrealm. You also didn't understand what MK3 was about? Kahn didn't just "invade" Earthrealm. He used his wife's soul, Sindel, in order to come and claim her and thus doing a loophole. And a lot of those fighters were not for Earthrealm either. Edenia was no longer it's own separate realm at this time either. Edenia was part of Outworld because it lost the 10 tournaments. Only when Kitana and Sindel assume power again did it slowly merge apart but was still part of it even by Deception. You also didn't understand Deception OR Armageddon. Onaga was not part of the Elder Gods' plans! Onaga was an ancient conquerer who stole the power of the Gods and everyone was not "brought back to life". They were not "climbing the tower because the Gods told them so". They climbed it because they were so bloodlusted and manic that they were shells of their former selves. Raiden and Shao Kahn are left and Raiden can see through his insanity to give his past self to avoid this future. Raiden constantly fucks up though. MK11 had a worse future than MK Deadly Alliance. I think so, anyway. Skim the wiki once in awhile, bro.

I like how you ignored Mortal Kombat Deadly alliance, Deception, Mythologies and Special Forces (Some of them suck but are part of the plot anyway)

Such inaccurate in the story. This is what really happen in 4 not so good paragraphs: Before Outworld could conquer Earth Realm, they already challenge Edenia for 10 straight MK and won thus turning Edenia into a part of Outworld. Since Outworld was successful they decided then it's time to challenge Earth Realm so to get that too, to do that they sent Shang Tsung to offer a challenge to Earth Realm challengers. The first Earth Realm tournament begins and Shang Tsung defeated all of Earth Realm's warriors except one and that's Kung Lao. Knowing that he didn't get the job done, Kahn then decided to sent in a new challenger Goro to face Kung Lao. Goro eventually defeated Kung Lao in the second MK Earth Realm tournament thus allowing Tsung to take his soul and so Goro's win streaks began spanning nine more generations of wins for Outworld. That is until the tenth tournament, had Goro or Outworld win this tournament, Earth will be taken by Outworld, fortunately Liu Kang descendant of Kung Lao came to challenge him and ultimately defeated Goro and Shang Tsung as well. Knowing that he came so close to victory Shao Kahn was mad thus was preparing to kill Shang Tsung for the loss until Tsung devise a plan for another tournament this time in Outworld. If Earth lose this tournament, Kahn will still be able to conquer Earth. Eventually Outworld invite the Earth warriors to compete again and loss. After this Kahn is tire of following the Elder Gods rule so instead he devise a plan which he had 10,000 years ago. The plan was to have Shang Tsung take the remains of his dead wife (which was not really his) to be resurrected in Earth Realm. In doing this Shao Kahn will then be able to enter Earth and claim his wife thus taking Earth while doing so. Fortunately Kitana was able to reach Kahn's wife first, turn her against him and Outworld got their ass handed to them again. After Outworld's defeat, Noob Saibot went back to the Netherealm to tell his boss that Outworld is there for the taking so Shinnok and Quan Chi was able to come into the picture. Shinnok went after Raiden while Quan Chi tries to take Outworld for his own which he fail thanks to Kitana and Goro turning allies and revealing to Scorpion the true killer of his family which is him thus pissing Scorpion and eventually finding himself a new enemy. Then after Shinnok got defeated and was banish again by Raiden, Quan Chi was sent back to the Netherealm where he was chase by Scorpion all over until he found himself a gate back to Outworld where he end up at the Dragon King's tomb and found his lost dead army. Quan Chi then plans to revive this army for his own so he ally himself with another sorcerer Shang Tsung, the two became pals, was able to kill Liu Kang and a clone of Shao Kahn while causing chaos and order all over the place. Fortunately the two was indeed able to successfully revive the army of the Dragon King though unknown to them an old fart of another realm was doing the bidding of another threat thus releasing the Dragon King from his slumber and so Quan Chi, Shang Tsung and Raiden were caught in the situation. Onaga was revive, Liu Kang return from the dead and became a zombie, Kitana, Jax and them became puppets to Onaga and eventually Onaga's plan to take back Outworld was thwarf by Jade, Sindel, Sub-Zero, Bo Rai Cho, and Shujinko. After Onage was defeated, Raiden kill Shujinko for being an idiot and eventually became a psycho. Then the Dragon King falls, after that this one lady predict that in able to balance order out of chaos and to prevent Armageddon, all warriors who previously took part in MK must be revive and invite to participate in climbing a stupid pyramid to take out a flame guy, only then will that person be given powers beyond that of a God to rid order out of chaos. Every MK warriors then jump to the pyramid as each one is fighting for themselves regardless of friends or foes example Johnny Cage push Sonya off the pyramid. In the end it came down to Raiden vs. Shao Kahn with Raiden getting his ass kick. Before he died though he sent a vague message to himself in the past and so Mortal Kombat got rebooted. Everything that once happens never did and what will happen is nothing like the old timeline as JC gets to bang Sonya, Kahn finally got ban from Earth Realm, Liu Kang became a bad guy, Kung Lao is dead, Sindel is a serial killer, Freddy became real somehow, Motaro sucks, these new people got involve, and we're still waiting for the next MK film. THE END.

A lot of people forget that in MK1, Kano was actually a JAPANESE-born American. Then Trevor Goddard, who was Australian, played him in the live action movie and did such a good job that writers decided to retcon Kano's nationality and make him Australian as well. So that pronunciation of "Kanno" may not be so off the mark, after all...

Taven represented salvation for all fighters in the mortal kombat universe. Daegon represented the game's title: Armageddon. If Daegon won, the universe would be destroyed. If Taven won, peace and balance would be restored. Only for Shao Khan to apparently get the fatel blow on the fire demon's life. So nothing changed. Then Raiden pulled his time-traveling post-it note trick.

1. Netherrealm is run by Shinnok....kind of. It's more chaotic than anything. Quan chi is Shinnok's highest sorcerer/bitch, so he doesn't even run the Brotherhood of Shadow. 2. Shao Kahn was never even mentioned in Mortal Kombat 1, in fact Shang Tsung was the lead bad guy. 3. You forget to mention Shang Tsung and Quan Chi forming an allegiance in MK5/DA, killing Liu Kang and Shao Kahn, defeating Raiden and his warriors in MK6/Deception, with the Dragon King appearing and trying to merge allthe realms into one and become God basically.

SubZero is a blue palette swap of Scorpion. The other palette swaps are Reptile (green), Smoke (Grey), Noob (Black.) Rain (Purple) Ermac (red), Tremor (Brown) and Chameleon (all of the others.)
