@@anamiguel2603 hm technically those names are valyrian, in another language, wouldn't names sound kinda the same because we can't tell the little differences? I mean the Chinese names and the different tones but they still sound the same to me ...
This is by far the most complicated family three ever. Following the UK crowd lineage was easier than the Targeryans. There was so much incest and all of them name their sons with the name of their ancestors is so confusing. Didn’t knew Dannys parents and grandparents were brother and sister. Her grandparents from both his dad side and mom are the same and they are also brother and sister. Like I said incest everywhere
Daena the Defiant is the Targ I am most intrigued by. Alysanne is the one that I think was "the best" of them. Poor Aerea, though. and I'd really like to see the triangle between Baela, Alyn, and Elaena (Aegon III's youngest).
This made me laugh, on account of this sentiment likely being shared by a good number of viewers during the viewing. Heh. Lavender Jack...Swooping On Down.
The people aren't ready for Aemond one eye Also, fully agree. What we see of him in the trailer makes me think he was perfectly cast. Although wish they put in the sapphire.
@@Monokazie Ahhh you know what, you are right. I shouldn't judge yet. But, it still isn't confirmed, and wish it were. I just think if there are multiple scenes with the eye patch, that's probably what they're going with. No mention of such in FnB.
Atleast they are gonna go back and forth in time because it'll make it easier and quicker to make the show without having to wait for everyone to get older slowly
08:08 Thank you because somebody had to say it…. I blame Viserys for all the division he caused by not just marrying Rhaenyra to Aegon would have saved so many lives including dragons
I literally wrote most of these characters’ names down and my brain and wrist hurt lmao Ok so I have a question, since we’re technically (according to show) over 100 years since GoT Danerys, who were the parents of the Mad King?
The Mad King’s parents were King Jaehaerys the Second and Queen Shaera Targaryen. They were siblings but Jaehaerys only ruled for a few years, which is why he is forgotten by a lot of people. The Mad King’s grandfather was Aegon V, or Egg, who was responsible for the Summerhall disaster.
No. Rhaenys is the daughter of Aemon (& Jocelyn Baratheon). Aemon's younger siblings are Baelor & Alyssa, their 2nd son is Daemon. So Rhaenys & Daemon are cousins.
Narrator states Viserys should have married Rhaenyra to Aegon. In the television show, Rhaenyra was in her late teens when Aegon was born. Don’t think that would have worked out. Was Rhaenyra to live as a virginal old maiden until Aegon was old enough?
This video is about book lore. Rhaenyra is only 10 years older than Aegon in book lore. She’d be 26 by the time Aegon was ready to have kids. That’s old for Westerosi standards, but not unheard of, and since it could solve the succession issue, it’s a good option.
It is absurd, how they married each other without even caring about the relations they have. show is amazing and have just one simple message for stupid power hungry mob everywhere on the planet Earth is that power makes human corrupt anyway. Even if they are not wannabe.
What makes this entire thing fiction is that it seems like with each generation of inbreeding they just get better looking no Habsburgs jaw or hemophilia. 🤣
At least F&B is a complete story (errm .. GRRM does get some of his brilliant works COMPLETED!) so viewers SHOULD be spared the incongruency of GOT conclusion with this show.
SPOILER ALERT! Alicent had four children: Aegon, Helaena, Aemond and Daeron. In Fire and Blood, Aegon did NOT want the crown at first though! He wanted to stay loyal to his father's wish. Why did he eventually approved? Because of Alicent Hightower and Otto Hightower. They pushed him very hard, telling him that Rhaenyra would kill him, all his siblings and their children if she had been crowned the Queen. That, however, was a lie. Rhaenyra herself proclaimed that she would not harm her half-brothers and half-sister, and that she would pardon them and welcome them with open arms and love in her heart. Though she never really got along with her half-siblings, she always respected them as the blood of the Dragon. The Dance of the Dragons was Alicent's and Otto's work.
@@phoebedemontefalcon1423 Perhaps in Fire and Blood... Otto, her father, is like Tywin, no doubt... But Alicent seems to be under the influence of her father. You see... In the book, she is much older than Rhaenyra and they are not besties... In the show, however, they are of the same age and they are best friends. It is obvious that certain changes have been made to make the story more interesting...
@@phoebedemontefalcon1423 SPOILERS.... Rhaenyra is more like Cersei: 3 bastard children, hedonistic (adult life), hypocrite, resentful, bad/mediocre ruler (at least for the short time she actually got to rule), killed by her younger brother (although Cersei's still alive in the books there's a profecy about her getting killed by one of her brothers)
@@hectormiranda1088 spoiler 🚨 it was actually actress Olivia Cooke (older alicent) that said that in her audition she had to read a line of Cersei and acted and that is how she got her role as older alicent. Milly (younger Rhaenrya) was made to read an Arya line and that is how she got her role as young Rhaenrya. Alicent is a poisonous viper. Rhaenrya was the oldest of the king’s children and she was made heir by the king’s wish and also by his small counsel. He never change his mind until his death. Alicent was the one that poison her children and Otto was replaced by Ser Strong as hand because he wouldn’t shut up about Aegon replacing Rhaenrya as heir. Alicent, Otto and Criston begin the whore shaming club for Rhaenrya. They were the ones that named Rhaenrya’s children bastards. They were the ones that kept a dead Viserys inside his chambers so that Rhaenrya could t claim her right. Rhaenrya was 15 or 16 years older than Aegon II. She had her a life already, her husband, house and children. She obviously wouldn’t play dolls with them. Aegon, Aemond and Darmon all grew up to hate Rhaenrya.Haelena didn’t. She liked her haft sister. If it wasn’t for Aemond killing Rhaenrya’s first son Daemon would have never acted against his newphew’s child.”an eye for an eye. A son for a son” after that Haelena killed herself, and she get rew apart from Aegon not even caring if he was okay or not. Alicent did all for nothing because at the end her sons died, her grandchildren died and she died in tower sick knowing that all she did only lead to her losing everyone she loved.
@@paulabarra5431 Rhaenyra gets eaten by Aegon's dragon, Daemon dies killing Aegon's brother Aemond along with his dragon Vhagar, Aegon dies later, poisoned, and Rhaenyra and Daemon's son (bafflingly also called Aegon) gets crowned.
I have been seeing this Targaryen family tree which says that the father of the Mad king Aerys was Jaehaerys Targaryen who was Aegon V Targaryen's son. But wasn't Aegon V Aerys's Father?
Aegon V was Aerys’s grandfather. Aegon’s son Jaehaerys II was Aerys’s father. Jaehaerys only ruled for a couple years though which is why it might seem like Aerys immediately succeeded Aegon V.
@@lin_6x579 We barely know anything about Valyria, so that information is lost to time. All we know is that in comparison to other families, the Targaryens were mediocre.
@@dddrop8561 Corlys Velaryon was married with Rhaenys Targaryen, The Queen Who Never Was. They had two children: Laena Velaryon, who married Daemon Targaryen, and Laenor Velaryon, who married Rhaenyra Targaryen. SPOILERS: It was well known that Laenor Velaryon was gay. The Greens later used this fact when trying to prove that Lucerys, Jacaerys and Joffrey were bastards (they probably were).
Valyrian genetics seems to be fairly magical. They probably don’t carry many dormant negative characteristics in their DNA, making their inbreeding more successful.
Some dies in child birth and other have deformities. It called luck draw some times incest children come out normal but i suggest no body try this. In the ancient days people didn't understand what happen if you breed with brother or sister. The Targaryens thought they were Gods so they marry each other.
@@chrisrubin6445 Their first child was actually Aegon, who died in infancy. That was 52 AC. Then Daenerys was born in 53 AC and died in 60 AC. Aemon was born in 55 AC.
