Was her comment petty? Absolutely. Did the “friend” deserve it? ABSOLUTELY.

Classic reddit. Woman cheats, and the guilty party is the one that exposed the affair, not the cheater 🙄

Who wouldn't say I told you so. I would have laughed in her face and asked why did you even call me we don't talk anymore! Wait she's quite religious but supported her friend sleeping with a married man. People like to pick and choose which parts of religion they actually follow!

Seriously! She all religious and holy but support her cheating friend who openly sleep with married men? And how did she not see it happening to her sooner or later? Anyone with enough braincells can see Alex gonna sleep with her friends' husband at some point. Yet she had the nerve to be mad at op for spilling the secret? I bet she would want op to tell her if Alex slept with her husband if she knew. Talk about a fking hypocrite, you support the cheating but not when its your husband who end up being one of the men she slept with? Im glad both women lost all their friends and family.

Story 1: OP did nothing wrong. She didn't "Punch Down". She told the girl what she needed to hear. The first wife needed to know her husband was being cheated on. Karma came around and does what it does best.

Story 1: NTA. Julia invited a snake into her home, protected it and got surprised when it bit her in the ass. She aint got a say on how people react to it. Story 2: OP and BF deserve the world! Hope Max gets his karma soon, he literally planned his friends SA for his own petty reasons! Disgusting!

That second last comment on the first story was one of the most stupid things I've heard this week. Honestly seems like the commenter saw themself in the cheater's shoes.

I will NEVER understand people who defend and keep trusting cheaters, no matter how close they are even direct family. Once they’ve done it once they will 100% keep doing it if given the chance. The old adage “if they’ll cheat with you, they’ll cheat on you” is just fact, not sage advice. Every time I hear a situation like this I just laugh now, “how could they do this to us/me” wow I don’t know I just have no idea how the person who has shown they can and will do this thing, has done this thing.

Story 1 commenters: Its called having Moral Principles. "But you take no accountability" Oh give me a break. I wonder how many of these people argue about how "people should do something" about other topics, but dont do it themselves because they dont want to be responsible for the consequences.

So you saying "I told you so" to a friend when the witch, that she supported over you, effed her husband, was too harsh, but her literally cutting you off for two years to support that same married man effing, trifling friend and only calling you when that friend betrays her... is not?! You're wrong for your response because she just needed a friend and you were kicking her when she's down? Didn't she already prove for two years she no friend of yours? OP#1 why did you even apologize? She's lucky she only got an "ITYS" from you because my level of petty would have included the "BLOCKED" button.

Story 1 so the serial cheating friend cheated witn one of the friends group husband's Who would have seen this coming. And op was treated like trash for being the only one with integrity. Glad he told the ex friend she doesnt want anything with her anymore. Story 3 He was assaulted and she didn't support him. Why would someone in his right mind want to be with her?
@jorijoestar4998

The boyfriend came home and said he cheated. It put the idea in her mind that he cheated. She put two and two together and went to support him. Humans are messy and complicated. They talked it out like adults and she is supporting him.

Story 3: "me me me me me" Good lord, can you imagine the pitchforks and torches if a guy had the audacity to : -think his gf cheated when she was assaulted -think only that "oh it's ok I forgive her cause she was assaulted what a good guy I am" -"it's great she won't break my heart, she was just assaulted"

I dont think petty actually apply here. Petty would be if she was still friend. Thats just facing the music. Punching back isnt being violent its having a backbone

Story two is why people should never get black out drunk at any social gathering. It’s honestly not that hard to do. When I was younger-I would drink to the point where I felt “tipsy” but not smashed drunk. As soon as I felt that, I would instead grab a soda or whatever else was available and drink that until the “tipsy” feeling left. Repeat as necessary. If anyone gave me grief and handed me another alcoholic beverage, I’d secretly dump it and refill with water. Or nurse that same drink long term. This is how I kept my senses and wits about me. The feeling tipsy part is the actual fun part of drinking. After that, you’re just a mess that usually ends with puking and a massive hangover. It’s a downward spiral into oblivion after that and anything can happen. This is especially true if you’ve got someone acting obviously inappropriate around you like the male in that story-like the writing was on the wall that this chick was after him and he ignored that and kept drinking. Not very wise. You’re setting yourself up for trouble because you simply can’t trust people to do the right thing by you if you can’t stop them yourself. Happens all of the time out there in the world, we all know that. The unwary get assaulted, sad as that is. It’s on us to be proactive and control our own behavior because unfair as that is-they sure as hell aren’t going to do it because they are looking to do the wrong thing. That story illustrates exactly how that goes. I’m not trying to victim blame those already assaulted, just warn those among us who might yet be saved from this fate and the consequences afterwards. Dude almost lost his girlfriend and some wouldn’t have cared or stayed regardless of why it happened. Some would still call it cheating because he should have left the situation when it got weird with that girl. Or at least stopped drinking. He ignored the signs at his own peril. And the inevitable happened. People scream this is unfair and it absolutely is, it shouldn’t even be a thing that could happen-but here we are. It does and it did happen. Probably happens every minute of every day of the world all over the world statistically. You can’t ignore that and end up safe. Sadly you just can’t, man or woman.

Story 1: I understand the broken trust/tribalist mindset situation. Really, I do. If it were my friend, 1 of 2 things were happening: A) I'm trying to understand why she does it, and for her to understand why too. To at minimum, stop this behaviour. Medium, get the husband to fess up. Maximum, tell the wife herself if the husband doesn't (but that max way is very potentially dangerous honestly. The three (3) of them need STI tests at this point. B) Distance myself from the friend after IDing the the wife and somehow get it to the wife that her husband is cheating but not specifiy with whom. She can take it from there. For me, the "I told you so" is simplistic, low-hanging fruit. I would have repeated back whatever argument she made for the friend cheating and "defend" her again to this latest victim and add, "Do you still stand by such sentiments, now? How traitorous was I really, and what does that make you in all of this? ... You leanred a lesson, and she did a favor by taking your trash to the curb early for you. Keep your head up, and don't fuckin call me again." _________________________ Story 2: Is she what you call a "vulnerable narcissist?" 🤷🏽‍♀️

S3: Can someone drunk be SA? Absolutely. If he was so inebriated that he was slurring out his “No” and didn’t have the motor control to push her away, then he was SA’d. That’s not what happened though. His own words: “I went along with it”. He got drunk and cheated. That’s why he doesn’t want to push for charges.
