Thank you for the first story that has an actual conclusion. Lately y’all’s stories have been kind of pointless stories that don’t go anywhere and don’t really have any conclusion. Finally a great story please keep reading stories like the first one.

Story 3 reminds me of the Ryan Hurst tweet "Religion is like a penis. It's nice to have one and fine to be proud of. Don't whip it out in public or shove it down someone else's throat."
yeah especially with the virus being still around, if that horrible ex boss is one of those people who thing viruses are made up, she's gonna be in bigger trouble.
The thing that really gets me about health code violations is, why does this seem to be such a trend in the United States? What I mean is so I’ve been to countries that don’t even have health code regulations yet they take more caring cleanliness to take care of the place and follow procedure without those regulations than some of these shops in the US that will just cut corners and ignore it
It's your wedding, if you don't want him to attend then mom needs to respect your decision. And honestly I wouldn't invite Mom if she is going to act this way.
last story: The biggest problem isn't that he gave his ex- a ride, but that he deliberately withheld the info. Just be freaking open and honest people; it's not that hard. The wife probably wouldn't have thought twice if OP had just bothered to have a honest conversation.
for the story with the ex. NO he isn't the jerk. its not inappropriate. if someone doesn't ask why say something about it? he didn't wanna stress her out. nothing more. she has no reason to be mad. none at all.
but what if it (and it did and things like these would eventually) get out would create tons more stress then if he just told her, also its quite rude to think that someone "can't handle it" and also one of the most important things in a relationship nonetheless a marrage is honesty
Story 3: Not the jerk, she is not a true Christian, I am a Christian and I listen to worse music and watch worse things than what the lady blew agasgit about. For clarity I am a church of Christ Christian raised in the south so this just sickens me to my core
I can respect that, i don't really believe in anything (other than a higher god-like power like an all mighty creator or something) but i don't mind religion at all. Just don't try and FORCE it onto me cause that's how i'll become your foe
The final story’s Karen is very hypocritical… “they should choose their own path *has the child watch movies about god which is indirectly making them forced to make the choice*”
It’s amazing how Karen slept with a guy and blackmailed him to tell his wife and followed through while she herself was married and failed to anticipate how this could come back to bite her! I mean really!
Last story: so the ex-girlfriend was the best friend of the bride, and had no ride prior to this? If she was her best friend I would assume she's at minimum in the wedding party, possibly the maid of honor. And she had no ride? OP didn't make it clear how long before the wedding day this plan was hatched. No bride is going to wait until the last minute to check if her "best friend " had transportation. I think they had this plan a couple weeks in advance making the guy even more of a creep.
16:23: That might be one of the most horrifying things I have ever heard. Children should absolutely not be allowed to decide their own way. They do not have the life experience, the ability to reason, the know-how, hell, many of them ain't even been lied to yet. They haven't made any mistakes. They don't really know love and hurt. So many reasons. You CANNOT let inexperience and naivetè make the rules.

What weird is that the Christian mom was complaining to the op that she shouldn’t play atheistic music when her child is at the op’s house but then when the op’s child goes to her house she puts on a movie about Christianity

First story, clear thathappened power fantasy. Not every Christian forces their beliefs down people's throats true christian will ask if someone wants to know about Jesus and if they say no then we'll just walk away and not push it further. As a Christian myself we're supposed to plant the seeds of curiosity if someone is willing to listen. And our mission is to preach the gospel of Christ to all with compassion and joy what the lady did in the story wasn't what a Christian should do. Being a born again child of God is the greatest thing anyone can go through and it's a life that even in the worst of times God will always bring us joy and light in the darkness and help us push through the hard times. That's why we share our faith so that we can let others feel the joy and peace we feel.
Story 1 why would betty cry in the court house? I thought she was happy doing all of her corrupt and self entitled activities? Now she is begging for sympathy to others just to escape her wrong doings? Smile betty like what you did before dont cry in the courthouse since you deserve it and you're the one who brought many suffers to others. before you are laughing to the people you stepped on now you are crying and probably being laugh at by the people you stepped on. I hope you go to jail and suffer
Story#3: I'm agnostic in Catholic home, I don't practice my religion due to the extreme and toxics beliefs it caused my mental health I vow to let my children chose what they want to belief and not enforce religious traits they won't believe in I won't care what will my family think nor say I want my children to grow up more open to other beliefs and respects their own rather stove Jesus down their throats or be enforce 3hrs of Sunday church is less taxing for the mental health So not the jerk OP at least your kid will be more open minded and see the world diffrently
The last story: The narrators gf probbably cheated on in a simular situation so hes mad cause if he is in friendly terms with his ex his wife should have trusted him, i honestly think the mom is a jerk for spitting it out before the OP settled and the wife was upset because of the mother so she would probbably still be mad even if he told her earlyer.
Honestly I agree with you And the narrators anger was so obvious that it caused a bit of anxiety (past shit) and made me uncomfortable despite me also understanding that it could be wrong on some levels but some trust has to be put into a relationship and if they are only friendly with each other then I don't think one drive is such a big deal Plus he didn't tell the wife because he didn't wanna worry her more which is sweet because his intentions were incredibly sweet but the wife didn't like that But what caught me off guard was the fact that he has to ask permission to help his sisters best friend (which happen to be his ex)
I do agree with the mom being a jerk for spitting it out because (it semmed to me) he had good intentions and theres nothing that info could have done but op is also a jerk for not telling his wife
The 2nd story you should as a mother respect your son's decision. So yeah he has done the right thing, if she Won't respect your decision then don't invite them.
Look for story three about the Christian lady. I think the mom was in the wrong, but it depends. Like if she openly broke her word like purposely tried to show her all that. Which is what it sounds like yeah it went against the OP's wishes. But if OP's kid asked the mom maybe after talking with her child. About the religious views of the friend. Than I can defend it a little as if the kid was asking it would be rude not to tell them. But I would have asked the parents first just say hey your child is asking about my religion. Mind if I tell them about it? As that is totally different. Like this situation was handled in the worst way possible by that mom
Because mono-normative people think life is supposed to be you and your partner against the world. If the ex was literally anyone else, it would have been fine. But because they had a thing a long time ago, it's taboo for some reason
Because it is rude and disrespectful. Op lied about going alone. He should of told his wife as soon as the situation changed. I am a believer guys and girls, and ex’s, can be friends. However, this is under a very specific subset of rules. In the case of ex’s full transparency is required and/or the current partner needs to be present. So if the wife could not be there physically, OP needed to at minimum tell her.
Regarding the story#3 i would like to hear from the op regarding the fact that her studying philosophy turned her to become an atheist. I come from Greece so we practically created it and still I am a Christian. What really raises questions though is what really means Christian cause yes I do not go to church every Sunday and I never blamed anything on god or something. For me it just gives a bit of hope in desperate times. I respect the fact that she doesn't want to have her child prosyletised (from where I come from this is a huge no no word) and also why did the other mother needs to stick her nose into other people's business.

The first 20 seconds of the video the title of the video and the thumbnail makes the person who made the reddit post in the wrong. my mean manager fired me so i made her husband divorce her then made her buisness fail and had her homeless for some time and i love myself for it then you listen to the rest and it takes a 180 cause the manager sounds way worse lol

Karen took things too far for the sake of confrontation... But aside from that i agree with her, she is heavily cristian, is teaching her kid to be heavily cristian and doesnt want atheism to influence him at OPs home any more than OP want her child to be influenced at karens home ..OP also seems just as protective of her childs beliefs as the karen so.. i think they should both get off the religion topic and let their kids play
I can see not wanting to drive five hours by yourself but he should have had that conversation with his wife regardless, if it had been the other way I doubt he would have looked at it the same
Now, op screwed up. He was so in the wrong, but it was a 5 hour drive. Not everyone has that driving stamina so not everyone can can drive that much without help
Story 2 If I were you and you have the money for it, I would hire some security for the wedding and after party because you know your stepdad is going to show up whether you like it or not. That way he can't be there to ruin your day. If I were you and my mom continues to take your stepdad's side then I would tell her since you want to be with this garbage so much then you are no longer going to be in my life. I do not need toxic people in my life.
My opinion on the last story: I don’t think the “excuse” the OP gave was an excuse, more of a reason cause some people have this thing where they don’t feel comfortable driving far distances when it’s just them in the car. And besides I believe in ex’s becoming friends, also the ex just needed a ride. Yes, he should’ve been open with his wife and told her but it’s not like anything was gonna happen on the car ride.
The first story sounds fishy. Unless this happened in a state with one party consent recordings, then it would be illegal to record her racist rants. Also, pastries are typically protected by a sneeze guard or sealed in plastic wrap (particularly by that bakery chain’s corporate protocols). Finally, OP claimed “All of her family bailed on her”, yet she is “living with her sister who hates her”…
well she was committing numerous hate crimes so with the 13th amendment, she'll be forced to face huge jail time if she doesn't pay for everything she cause.
For the story with the person with the terrible stepfather, just remember this quote from the bible. And a man shall leave his mother and father and be joined to his wife
depends of they deserve it, like if in story 1 all the manager did was not let her quit, then yea way over kill, but considering the stuff she did she's lucky she didn't go to jail
Story 3: WHAT IN THE HOLY FLYING PASTA MONSTER!? You can't just go around and force YOUR religion on people that don't want it! That's how you make enemies on both fronts! This is why i hate religion with a passion, I won't show it but by the all mighty creator above i'll voice it if it comes to it.
