She acted unprofessionally by suggesting that the young woman had contraband in her bookbag, and the police conducted an illegal search and seizure of her property. The St. Petersburg PD is going to be in a lot of trouble once I'm done filing my complaints, and that female officer needs to learn how to deescalate these kinds of situations because she's going to run into someone like me one of these days and wish she hadn't fanned the flames.

That happened to me & I left. 2 months later I received a debt collection letter saying I owe the dentist money. I received no phone call, no email, just a debt collection letter not even telling me what I’m being charged for. I thought it was a scam or a mistake so I called to make sure. Long story short my dad tried to help & paid. The dentist actually owed me money for work they did that they messed up on. All this stress over a simple cleaning they told me was free because I had bought their plan. Even though I asked them 3x if I really don’t have to pay since I wasn’t going to renew the plan. Honestly I don’t think asking for documentation or some physical documentation saying you got what you were supposed to get & it’s paid or free or whatever is too crazy because some dentist places do take advantage. But the way she acted was ridiculous, clearly someone that’s never been told no.

Most cover 100%. It's a marketing scam, I told my boss plenty of times people will get upset, but she was too greedy. We got many complaints. However, even though I say that, in your situation something sounds fishy on your part. Usually you can't send to collections if the office didn't already try contacting the patient. If they truly didn't you could sue them in small claims court. Which you definitely should, because that can potentially effect your credit when debt is sent to debt collectors. However if there is any chance you didn't answer the phone or something and they have proof, then you should take some blame. Lastly, the whole deals offices give only works out if you buy their discount plans or their membership plans or if you have your own insurance. Also, you don't have rights over a business, they provide a service, not an obligation. They don't HAVE to engage with you, you don't own them after all. You're exchanging money for a service - if they don't want your patronage, they only have to comply with legally valid requests. In this case, they would have to sent her file to her or another practice upon request before destroying their copies. Please use google for opinions like this, it's not like it's hard

And if it would have taken longer than 15 minutes, I would have gotten her name and address (either from the employees or from her), went ahead and given her the trespass warning, and let her know that the office would mail the paperwork to that address, unless she wanted to give me a different address, which I would then pass on to the dentist office. What I would *not* have done is what the cops did in this video: constantly changing their orders to her, engaging with her by arguing with her nonsensical points, giving her unlawful commands like she had to hang up the phone and wasn't allowed to call her mom, not giving her a chance to comply with their orders to move outside before they took her down, exaggerating how they had to "fight" with her and that she was violent toward them, and overall pursuing an unnecessary arrest. It must have been a slow day for the police force that day.

At the end I heard the front desk girl say “She refused to fill out any paperwork.” She didn’t have to pay anything out of pocket, but is demanding the paperwork which would include all the work that was done, paperwork which, probably, included the fee scale of each procedure, but that can be looked up on the internet if you know where to look. 🤔 Veddy interesting! (I’ve worked in life insurance and chiropractic office and did insurance for a while.)

Did you even watch the video? The police were bullying her and bossing her around and preventing her from leaving and escalated the situation by shouting at her. Also the dental staff was in the wrong for being passive aggressive and not giving her the dental records and calling the police and making slanderous comments about her.
