It is still amazing to me how a couple of kids in their late teens can produce music like this. Out of this world then and now as well. Excellent song.
I played with these guys in 1993 at a club in Syracuse NY called the Lost Horizon (still exists today) They where such great guys. Cancer took my Mom too. Blessings to all of you affected by this effed up disease.
This is some of the hardest hitting shit I've ever heard, and I've been thru grind, power violence, harsh noise, and all sorts of genres of metal and hardcore. This just sounds and feels like it came from pits of despair. It's not even a contest, Entombed are organic and powerful in their early sound. Beautiful in execution.
Unreal isn't it, I remember being blown away when I listened to it in the 90s....they were great times for music in general, this whole album was so atmospheric
Best death metal band adopting best horror movie theme tune ever … the “Phantasm” tune…. Absolutely chilling! RIP LG… we live in deeds , not in years! You are with us.
I love this track, because the left hand path is true. Especially the long instrumental at the end of the track. I have edited it and listen when in bed and sends me asleep with beautiful riffs and keys. Fantastic 👍👍👍
I just heard of the passing of Lars Goran Petrov by accident, this led me to check them out. I would say this band were ahead of their time. Some awesome riffs in this tune! RIP Lars Goran
@@elkemildner3172 L-G i buried close to the cross where the iconic pictures from this album were taken (1:23) in Skogskyrkogården in Stockholm, Sweden. I visit him every now and then even if I didnt know him.
More than 25 years have passed since this was released, and it still gives me goosebumps every single time I listen to it. Fucking brilliant. The true Prince of Evil!
Saw these guys open for Morbid Angel in 1991. Their singer got detained in Yugoslavia for marijuana possession so one of the guitarists had to do the vocals. They still put on one hell of a show!
Got to see these guys open for Morbid Angel in 1991. Their singer had been arrested in Yugoslavia so one of the guitarists had to do the vocals and it was still a KILLER show.
An absolute monster of an album!! I bought this on cassette In 1992 (i still have it) and on CD a few years later. Never gets old. A true death metal gem 💎 and a masterclass in true Swedish death metal 🤘🤘
Rest in Power, L.G. I was still hoping for an Entombed reunion💔 We'll never forget your inspirational works, legend. It's still hard to accept BUT LIFE GOES ON. 😔
R.I.P. Lars-Göran Petrov and thanks for the music and great memmories. "Left Hand Path" was my first Swedish Death Metal cassette (pirate from Takt) and I still have it.
This is one of my favorite records of all time. The atmosphere in my day and my house always shifts when I play Left Hand Path. Absolutely love the shit out of this.
***** I would insult the bands that you listen to because they have a bad reputation - but considering their max views peak around 3,000, no one fucking knows who they are anyway. Lol, you're so underground and edgy because you listen to no-name metal bands - ooohh, that'll get you the glamours, I'm sure.
Got some free metal CD's from a local paintball joint in 1994....this was on one of them...fell in fkng LOVE! I was a kid then...now I'm 42. R.I.P LG 😢🤘🤘
Love this track. The intensity, power and passion. The instrumental at the end is astronomical. Pure genius. The left hand path. You inspired me Entombed.
Brutal, melodic, hardest vocals, amazing! I like it! I am 55 years old, and this music remember me on my youth! This music is for me the brutal way of life! A milestone and a masterpiece!
This was a Golden Period for Swedish Death Metal, these Guys, Dismember, Carnage. Sunlight Studios and Tom Skogsberg pretty much created the Template for the 'Sound'
Saw these guys open for Morbid Angel in 1991. Their singer had gotten arrested in Yugoslavia so one of their guitarists did the singing. Still a GREAT show.
