Unfortunately ALL these bridal shows put brides in dresses over their budgets….goes with the marketing of the dresses.

@@karenacton3854 honestly i've only ever seen lori's consultants put a bride in a dress over-budget when *the bride/family* insists on it - they never ask brides to "stretch the budget." and if they do come across a situation where the only dress the bride likes is over budget, it will either be on sale for under budget or lori will straight up give them a discount to make it affordable.

Actually, Lori, Monte and their manager (forgot her name) wouldn't, David wouldn't, and Randy wouldn't. I noticed, that if they go over budget, it's always the non-main consultants (excuse my poor english, it is not my first language) or the bridal party pushing it

This is a classic example of why people need to stop judging people for thier bodies. I'm in exactly the same situation as her. Went from a size 6 to a size 20 due to a problem with my pituitary. It is so hard to deal with people's looks, thier judging stares when you eat out, the way they avoid you on the beach, even though there is nothing that can be done to change it.

😬 I really wanted her to see Jo and Al. Just my opinion, but of all these shows, I feel like only Jo and Al understand how to (and have the inventory to) dress a larger sized woman for best effect. (I admit, though, I do wonder what a dress from their boutique costs.)

It doesn't matter if she's pretty or not. A fat not pretty bride deserves to have the same experience as thin brides.

@@andydufresne5297 I thought that, too. Jo and Al wouldn't have tweaked designs; they would have searched more diligently, and addressed the bride's confidence issues as well. They are the experts.

That’s what I said I would do if I were to get married. I’m at the age now, that I no longer care because I would look silly in my dream dress regardless of what my figure looked like. 😂

@@AuntStina no you would not!! it doesn’t matter your age at all, you deserve to have the dress of your dreams and i’m sure you’d look stunning! you would look gorgeous as long as you’re happy i’m sure your partner would think the same!

Agree, it has an antique lace & antique gold / baroque vibe to it, with a modern/colorful twist, i might not like it on just anyone or in any setting but on her and in Italy? Yeah I can see that 🤩

If you Google her wedding you will see she did not get the dress. She wore a white lace dress with a shawl overlay.

Yep! I really don’t like her clingy crepe dresses with the lace sleeves BUT I actually love the dress with the feathers.

that's how design works......many designers have retail shops....they show their products in the best locations.....

Plus there's the possibility she wanted to try it. Maybe it caught her eye. I don't like when they bring something in and don't mention its over budget.

I am a bridal consultant, and let me say: they usually let the customers know the price if it's above budget before she tries it on. Also, she wanted something different, and perhaps they did not have her dream dress under 1500 pounds.

@@PrisGallicchio It does feel weird! It’s possible that she was at the shop and wanted to see her dress on the person who pulled it. I’ve seen that happen. But they are _always_ immediately introduced as the designer! If I were a designer, though, I would be interested to hear people’s honest opinions on my work. I could see how it might be tempting to sneak in! Most designers want the bride to get the right dress, as well, whether it’s theirs or not. I wouldn’t want someone who wasn’t really excited to be in my design!

I agree that it's awkward as hell for the bride and her party to be criticizing the dress with the designer present, but at the same time, a designer should be able to hear criticism about their designs and not be offended. She makes beautiful dresses, and she knows they're not going to be to everyone's taste. Someone, somewhere, will love the feather dress, and that's who she designed it for.

Wow the garden dress looked better on her than this white cape dress. The cape dress made her look older.

She didn't asked for a cape dress because her every friends were wearing it. But still she wore one! May Be she is actually influenced by her friends and she tried to get out of it. But she couldn't. My lord!

Pity, because I thought that floral dress was one of the most STUNNINGLY GORGEOUS wedding dresses I'd ever seen!! In fact, after watching dozens of these videos I think that dress is my most favorite of all! Shame didn't wear it! But it's interesting that you checked up on her Insta account. Makes one wonder how many times do these brides settle on a dress for the show but then wear a different one...

On so many of these bridal shows I noticed so many brides choose a strapless cookie cutter dress nice to see a little variation

why did she buy the dress when she wasn't going to wear it. Another bride lost out on buying the dress and actually wearing it for her wedding day.

One family talked the bride out of buying it because her bridesmaids’ dresses were also gold.

so many entourages in this show don't know how to provide constructive criticism or use the "compliment sandwich" to reject a dress they don't like.

I briefly worked as a bridal consultant many years ago and I was always so angry that most of our samples would only fit women who were under a size 8!
