Very often when people say that they are brutally honest, they want to justifying being brutal.

She is probably the mothers favourite. And, the mother sees her hehaviour as fine.

Most likely because her kids are grown and should be able to fight it out or make up by themselves with out their mommy as soon as I turned 18 my mom stopped getting into me and my siblings arguments/fights

It's apparent blondie is the golden child. Notice 7:17, the two women are focusing on center-seated sister, who isn't even saying anything yet, not the bride who just walked out. However, also notice the "couple" montage at the beginning. It's all selfies of the bride with the fiancee literally in the background and off to the side, so she's not suffering too much from a poor ego.

Maybe she did and they didn’t show it. She might be a timid mom and is a bit bullied herself by the daughter.

They are adults. They should be able to regulate their own behaviour at this point.

Exactly. Some of these brides already don’t stand up to these kind of people in some episodes, but they already know that they’re gonna start some mess because of how they described that person in the beginning of the episode, so why bring them along?

Hopefully, her sister doesn't ruin the big day like she ruined the appointment. Anna is so pretty and for the mom to just sit back and watch her say those things to Anna is just infuriating. Thing is, they MIGHT have. But its been cut to look like they didn't for the drama. There were times where it looked like the mum had been saying something or was about to say something about the dress but it got cut and they switched scenes. I know: when the bride came out in the second dress, the mother whipped her head around toward the sister waiting for her brutal commentary instead of giving her other daughter some much needed support and encouragement. I wanted to slap her. Mom was a spineless/heartless wonder and all she did was enable the jealous blonde.

No one was body shaming. She's expressing how this particular dress highlights the less flattering features. And yes being extremely overweight and being put in a tight fitting dress can cause to hightlight the wrong parts.

She was NOT body shaming, she was expressing her opinion which I happen to agree with. The bride to be does not have a body for a figure hugging dress and most definitely not a strapless. Addressing her particular figure and weight issues are key to helping her find the right dress for her specific body type. Now if the bride in question is not content with how she looks and cannot come to terms with reality, that is not her sisters fault, nor is pointing out the truth "body shaming." Stop forcing individuals to accept and glorify unhealthy standards of beauty, by labelling them as body shamers. Whether someone is overweight or underweight, it ought to be addressed, and most significantly, is has to be taken into consideration when choosing a dress for the wedding. If anything she is being a decent sibling, by wanting her sister to look her absolute best on her wedding, and by being scrupulous as to all the requisite details. I don't think they have a say. I saw a video thatvwas about behind the scenes secrets etc of these shows and apparently the bride provides a list of potential people she could bring, probably along with a description of her relationship to them, good or bad and then it's the production team who chooses the ones who eventually accompany them.
