"Entre vous nouveaux mariés, menez bonne hait [joy, pleasure] et bonne vie...". This lively song by Johannes Le Grant (first half of the 15th century) urges men not to be lazy, so as to avoid "incurring the wrath of their lady". It could certainly have been played on the instruments we used in this video: slide trumpet, bombard, chalemie and tambourine.
