Thank you both for the interview. I have a few questions about the end of Rolf´s life. I have read and heard many times that he died during the production of the 2nd album of SIB. Michael Backens joined Detlef Wiedecke and Michael Scholz to finish the 2nd album. But Rolf can be heard in all of the songs of the 2nd album. Does that mean he is missing in high-pitched choir parts? If so - in which songs? Was the Mark Ashley album in production at the same time? Is Rolf also missing in the high-pitched parts? Lastly, why does about half of the Mark Ashley album exist with Rolf instead of Mark? Was it originally intended to be the third SIB album? (To me personally, it is the third SIB album)
Rolf had his collapse short time after sing his last part of the songs from the second album, the album was still not mastered but had all voices by Rolf, probably additional background voices could be added with the help of Backens during post production but also could not be necessary. In other hand, Heartbreak Boulevard was still not finished and Rolf voice was only in the half of the songs, which himself sent as demo to Mark Ashley previously for this album. Those demos were released later. In this production they had the support of Backens. During Rolf era, didn't exist any idea about a third SIB album. It came only years later with the addition of Olaf Senkbeil
@@Mrs.Robota So the Rolf versions of the Mark Ashley album were only meant as demos for Mark? And you can confirm that Rolf can be heard in the high-pitched parts of the 2nd album, right?
@@Mrs.Robota Sounds pretty amazing for a demo. Although I noticed that Rolf made a minor mistake in LONELY NIGHTS IN AVALON at around 3:09min. He sings *another lonely night in heaven* but the rest of the choir sings *I miss the lonely night in heaven*. Or perhaps it was not his mistake. Anyway, I can hear him in the Ashley demo songs with his normal voice during the high-pitched parts (high-pitched parts do not only consist of high-pitched voices). I think I can hear his high-pitched voice in many of the tracks of the 2nd album. That´s why I was wondering why it had to be finished without him. If somebody knows in which songs he was not part of the high-pitched parts, enlighten us.
@@PEProzent I used to have this information but so many years has passed... I don't really remember now, also the boards were we used to discuss about this not longer exist... time pass and I'm sorry part of the story is fading away. I'm grateful that new fans can appear and bring back this information and keep communicating. Life and music of these legends should be never forgotten, good luck.
