Do NOT bring a salve (ei) in your are meleeing bloat so you only need a Salve (e). If you bring an EI and drop it then the necklace will be lost forever and you will have to reimbue.
Thanks for this guide! Super helpful, got it second attempt finally completing my quest cape. Using those tile markers and verzik trainer were really helpful. Also a tip for anyone who is burning through a lot of supplies at nylo room, you can just switch your weapon instead of a full gear switch since they only like 2-3 health.
I clutched it with no food left to the end of phase 2 of Verzik thanks to this guide. I thought to myself, "man, I have no supplies left but if I could just make it to the end of phase 2 I'll feel accomplished." It took me too long to figure out Verzik was throwing things at me I had to also dodge. I finally made it to the end of phase 2 with nothing but prayer potions and I was like lets go but what am I honestly gonna accomplish with prayer potions. Put on protect from range and lets keep bashing her. I'm kiting her around the room trying to avoid the spider and then i remember i have to pop it. Verzik mostly just kept hitting me with ranged attacks so I actually got her hp down quite quickly in phase 3. I had 9 hp and had to use redemption to save myself but in the end I ended her with a MASSIVE 49-48 special attack from the crystal halberd. Thanks for the video dude! Just finished the quest, guide was very handy thanks man! LV 101, went in with absolutely no supplies, a blowpipe with around 200 addy darts, bunch of runes and a dds in my inventory. Then wearing a whip, d defender dragon boots, barrows gloves, berserker ring, fury and zammy cape, with blood bark top and bottom. So glad they changed the system cos I had no chance of doing all of these back to back with just 3 lives, the bandages it gives you when you wipe are so good!

I used this guide with all the down grade weapons and jewelry and completed it. Died 6 times at the final boss but that was because i tried to do it without tiles. I highly recommend getting them if using runelite. Great guide. Got my quest cape because of it!
I have died 4 times now where verzik has been on less than 5% health on her final phase, I'll tell you once I finish this quest i'm never setting foot in tob again

Thank you a bunch for this guide! The entire experience was a lot less intense than I figured it would be. Verzik was the only one who managed to be very difficult (nylocas was stressful but honestly not bad, per say), and by difficult I mean she killed me seven or more times. At a certain point I just kindof locked in and very abruptly got the flinching part down pat, which is more than I expected from myself honestly. Of course, I did ToB fresh off of finishing Desert Treasure 2. Prayer switching for Nylo was basically heaven compared to the Whisperer's entire deal.

thanks man just got the qp cape! not sure if you mentioned it but if your using a regular whip you must switch to your blowpipe to hit the purple healing Nylocas at Verziks in order to poison it, using a whip it wont die. Thanks for the great guide!
Some post upload fact checking for this vid from a ToB expert in the clan I am a part of: - DO NOT DROP OR BRING IN A SALVE (ei) you only need a salve (e) since you are only using melee on bloat. Salve (e) are easy to reobtain but if you drop you (ei) you will have to reimbue at the NMZ. - In P3 verzik normal / entry mode you should NOT pass the green ball. It doesn't reduce the damage you take so someone is going to get hit its just a matter of who. Might as well just be the person Verzik targets - In P3 I forgot to mention Verzik's auto attacks. Not a huge issue for entry mode since you can just tank most of the damage but her green attack is range and blue attack is magic. Pretty straightforward. You can swap prayers to help negate most of the damage but don't sweat it in entry mode.
Done in first try, 22 minutes, man this was so helpful tyvm, another thing I manage to see is that you can get bandages upon dyng on any stage, dyng on purpose to resuply would be a nice metod even thou I just died once, but that's just for those who want to try the entry mode without spending any supply bec in the entire run I just used a sip of prayer potion :) good luck guys!!
Thanks so much for this guide! All the other guides i saw were catered towards lower levels and cheesing stuff but with near max combat and good gear that felt like a waste of time. This was way more efficient and more in line with my gear. Definitely going to be giving this a shot soon
Completed, 103 cbt, first attempt, 2 deaths total. Guide helped me. There were a couple of points which were not adressed, like switching prayer and what to pray in general at Verzik, I just followed the footage and hoped for the best. Completed Verzik with only the 10 bandages given + a prayer pot left over - it was THAT easy. If you die, you get to try the same boss again , I believe unlimited # of times, and get 10 bandages. I encourage everyone to try it, it is not hard at all. TIP: if you bring a blowpipe, you ca use it as a venom wepon for the healing spiders in the Verzik fight phase 2. Good luck.
Great guide! Was able to get it done by myself with only 3 deaths to Verzik. Can't say I'm anywhere near ready for normal mode like I am for ToA, but at least I'm familiar with it now! Cheers
great guide bro, i just got my first kc soloing, really not that hard thanks to this guide, only boss that gave me problems was verzik but i eventually killed her.
Thank you so much for this. Took me about an hour and a half watching this video, 33 minutes total fight time around 91 combat. Had to keep telling myself to push through but I only died like 10 times, not too bad
Followed the guide, did it now with no deaths/issues. Verzik is definitely difficult to always land those attacks but I had more than enough resources to last. Nylocas was the most frustrating of them all, there's a lot to take in and when you're trying to swap gear it's tough. Great guide though, thorough yet to the point.
If you still havent finished it, after realizing you only really need to switch weapons, it was much easier. especially if you have like an unholy book which is great all around

Man idk why people make entry level guides saying you DONT need this you don’t need that, so why make a guide using it? Generally blows my mind like hey yea so you don’t need to be high level or rich but watch me do it while high level and rich ????
I can certainly understand your frustration here as an outsider trying to complete this with less and watching RU-vidrs with more gear / levels say how easy it is. I get it. That being said lets talk about some easy downgrades to make. Prims are +1 str over d boots and d boots are 106k. Prims are almost negligible benefit for their cost. Torture is +2 str and +5 attk bonus's over fury. You can absolutely use a fury with no problems (2.3m). Avernic is WAY too expensive right now cause of ToA. I used d-defender my first few completions anyway its quite possible. D warhammer is not necessary in entrymode as the bosses have low def anyway it just makes the rooms faster. Holy S**** all the bosses are so easy until verzik... you have the best strat i've seen of one tick attacking and back out and back in. But still, after running around to kill the purple guys, it's so hard to get back into that rhythm without being hit by a magic projectile. I'll try tomorrow but jeez. I'm also playing super welfare as a lvl 107cmb iron
I hear you! I can’t take credit for that verzik walk it’s just the general strategy for the room 😅. Getting back into the rhythm is pretty important in normal tobs but is something that takes practice! Keep at it and if I’m on in game feel free to send a PM and I can help you in the theatre 🎉

Got all the way to Verzik phase 2 first attempt. Do NOT only bring Fang with you as melee weapon. The off ticks give her tons of free hits while you are trying to learn
Your right. With fang/scythe the cycle is different so you need to skip every 4th attack. It’s tougher to get down the 5 tick cycle and when purple crabs come you need to switch to your blowpipe to poison them. That’s why I always recommend learning p2 verzik with a tentacle whip so you can stay with the easy cycle shown in the video and poison the crabs at the same time! Glad you made it so far on your first attempt and I’m sure you’ve got it on your second!
