I am against the massive construction of what the developer is calling Pinnacle in St James. I am not aware of any environmental study, land bearing study, traffic study, and any critical high rise fire and rescue training for what is being described as the tallest building in the Caribbean. In the event of a fire or natural disaster how will the Jamaica Fire Brigade manage the rescue of people from four high rise towers, villas, bars, restaurant, and shopping centers and what hospital will commodate those residents? Who will these residents be? Like Oyster Bay resort, the best land is being made available for the use and pleasure of foreign investors or white tourist people. We have no similar coastal protected areas or beaches for our enjoyment. At some point the future all past deals that the government of Jamaica has made with foreign governments and investors will be revisited.
